BR metro is over 800k in pop. It's not a small town. LSU athletics is their pro sports equivalent. It's really close to NO who has the real pro sports, and LSU football and baseball do wayyy above average in attendance. In the past so did basketball and it can and should get to that level again.

I wont deny a weekend game is an easier draw for fans but winning supercedes that IMO.

I always like seeing these threads bc the excuse for years was" if you win they will come." Well it sure feels like we are winning. Most dont remember even how good the crowd was at times even during brady ball era. Heck we sucked the year after the final four. Brady got fired and we still packed the pmac against Tennessee who was highly ranked. I had tickets in the last row of the arena and the crowd was rocking for a team with losing record.

I know this is a bad example but our arena should be rocking no matter who we play here on out this season.

Serious final four contender

I don’t think you can be a serious contender until you reach the elite 8.

I get where you're coming from, but there's always a list of teams with final four potential and at this point LSU is basically unanimously on those lists

It takes more than 2 months of success to get people into the mindset that The PMAC is the place to be.

Basketball for whatever reason comes in 3rd at LSU.

Basketball attendance averages more than baseball. There is a perception that LSU fans prefer baseball to basketball, but that perception is not backed up in any form of reality.

I’m in NOLA, will take off early, get my kid from school, and still not sure I can get there in time due to traffic. The 6:00 start is tough.

Ill give my reason.
I split season tickets with a coworker.
This is his game. I dont want to spend over $30 for 2 tickets to sit in the upper part of the uppers when i can see it much clearer on tv

I blame TV for the early start. TV doesn't give a shite if the fans can make it to the game or not.

Baton Rouge is not Starkville. People here can't just swing by the trailer after they knock off work at 5, pick up Billy Bob and Brenda Sue, and head over to the Hump in time for the game at 6.

Those 300 level tickets you are referring to will be like $18 per after fees
