It's a 1969 K-5 Chevy Blazer, not AI

That far left pedal is not a clutch, it's a parking brake. The transmission was automatic. The floor shift was for 4WD.

Now quit polluting the meme thread with posts that don't have memes. Good day -

Polluting the meme thread is a root of all kinds of evil.

I hang my head in shame for my comment in the meme thread. I have whipped myself.

Even though I questioned it, I agree. Now, let’s make this thread 1000 pages.

My dad had a 1984 model that looked exactly like this except it had a winch. The top would allegedly come off but we were warned if we ever took it off we would never be able to get it back on.

In my defense, ive never seen a truck as old as the one in OP in real life with an automatic transmission. The few ive seen were 4 speed on the floor or 3 on the tree

‘79 Bronco with transfer case and transmission shifters on center floorboard. Stepdad had similar in a different Ford model.

I had an 84 as well and sold it bc I needed some cash. The stupid things we do as youngster !! The top does come off, put a soft top on that bad boy. The previous owner bought it from a military auction (diesel engine) and converted to a 350. That truck was the shite

That's the later model where the removable top started behind the front seats. There was a metal roof over the two front seats. You can see it in the picture.

I had a 1974 K-5 Blazer and the entire roof came off. Right up to the windshield. We would pull the top off, pile ten or so people into the front buckets, rear bench and cargo area and drive from my rent house on Highland to the stadium for games. That truck was amazing. The roof removed and installed with six bolts. But it took a crew of guys to lift it up and get it positioned.

I’m in the beginning stages of building a ‘77 gmc from the ground up. I should be lifting the cab off the frame this weekend.

Both dad and stepdad were real winners. Part of my white privilege upbringing.

And i bet every guy here can still hear the sound of that pedal being set and the jarring release, each very distinctively different
