We get Clemson at home in 2026 (supposed to be opener), ASU in 2029, and Utah in 2032. Why leave these off your list

I hate that our big ooc opponents are always us going to their place first

ETA: I was wrong with FSU...but I do hate neutral site games

We opened against Georgia Southern....

Also, for all the neutral site games, LSU got a fat check and travel stipends to go to the game. They will take that over the ~$500k in profit they would generate hosting a home game against an FCS team.

In 100 degree heat that feels like 110? Sounds awesome.

Texas was brutal in 2019 but our Tigers prevailed.

There’s a lot of hurricane risk in end of August/start of September. Having the game at a neutral site does reduce or completely eliminate that risk of the game being postponed/moved/cancelled for hurricanes. Also the insane heat is mitigated if we have a neutral site game in a dome. If I had to pick one game for a neutral site every year, it would be that first week

It’s because we are receiving $10.2 million dollars for our two FSU games you dumb shite.

I don't mind neutral site games if they're in NFL cities with a lot of alumni (Houston, Dallas, Atlanta) that are recruiting hotbeds and it's a one-off opponent. I even don't mind the USC game, since it's in Las Vegas. It's a shame Wisconsin and Florida State weren't home and home series.

Follow the money. These neutral site games make way more money than a home game.
exactly correct - it's about the cash.

Would I love these big games to be in Tiger Stadium? Sure, the environment would be incredible. But they're not, and neither are the SECCG, bowl games, and playoff games.

finally, after a long drought LSU will host Clemson in 2026

What do you mean “after a long drought”?

We started the season at home against Miss St in 2020. In fact we started the season with a home game a total of 4 times in your list of games from 09-25.

It’s easy to understand that these kickoff games have become pretty popular in the past 10 years or so, but why complain about something that’s been fixed?

We play USC next year, then a home & home with Clemson, Arizona St, & Utah.

The only other game in there is we open the 2027 season vs Houston in NRG.

Personally, I’d prefer to start the season in an air-conditioned NFL stadium over sweating out a 40pt win against McNeese in Tiger Stadium in August.
