Brian Kelly does fill that professionalism void very well.

This and overall moral character mean a lot to me.

This was absolutely a hire to change the culture. I can't imagine a Brian Kelly coached team doing the swag surf before a kickoff, or smoking cigars in the locker room.

I'm worried it's an overcorrection. We're gonna lose a lot of guys who are focused on their NFL career and not LSU, or guys who want to come here and goof around and have fun. Good riddence, but that's who coach O recruited. We're gonna have roster problems unless the portal turns in our favor.

You serious Clark? Miles and Orgeron were constantly mocked by the media. They didn't respect them. They respected the program, but both were clowns in the media's eyes.

Sorry, but the rest of the country saw O and Miles negatively. I live in the Midwest so I see LSU football through a national lens. Professional is not the most apt word they would use to describe either coach. Neither coach put LSU in a positive light. Kelly has a chance to restore the reputation Saban built for LSU.

Lack of a sense of professional discipline has held LSU football back for too long. With Brian Kelly, that will no longer be the case.

We just fired the best "Cultural Fit" that LSU has ever had. It was a disaster.

We just hired a guy whose culture is "Winning the right way."

He will transform the program and LSU will be better for it.

Dude wtf

They were both embarrassing cartoon characters. Nationally they were a joke as human beings.

As long as he stays away from the freshman girls and the bimbo gold diggers I think he'll be okay.

Well sorry you want a coach that’ll let the inmates run the prison.

Don’t matter what you think or how you feel, all the talent LSU has been blessed with over the years. That attitude will run that talent off. Don’t be an naive

Do you even look at recruiting? He’s pulled kids from Atlanta, California, the hills of Kentucky, inner city Cincinnati, Cleveland, and small town Florida. He’s had to recruit nationally because south bend Indians isn’t exactly Miami Dade County talent wise.

Any HC at a big time program has seen it all. They've experienced every type of culture you can imagine. The guy has been recruiting for decades. I don't know what it would take to surprise him at this point. These coaches would crawl into a volcano if a five star lived in it.

I don't think he'll have that much trouble with "inner-city" kids or "country" kids.

Having fun is not incompatible with getting into the League. It is the absence of discipline and dedication to getting better all the time that will now be gone with O. Good riddance to those who would rather eff off.

Not cultural, it's about the BRAND. Stop thinking of LSU as some punchline with joke head coaches and instead think of it as a serious powerhouse.

Relying on talent alone is what got us where we are.

Kelly will mold that talent into men that are accountable to the team and one another.

And just like Saban in his first year at Bama, he will work through the roster to find who buys in and who doesn't.

It is exactly what we need if we are going to sustain success.

Culture will indeed be significant imho:

He didn’t coach many “inner-city“ kids, “country“ kids, or Cajuns at Notre Dame.

He will experience an entirely different “culture” at LSU.

How he relates will determine his success.
The kids he coached at ND were generally very smart kids who’s grades allowed them entrance into ND. Not so much at LSU. He’ll have to deal with kids that are barely passing school and only care about making it to the NFL. He’ll have to adapt and adjust but he’ll be fine. He’s not teaching them advanced calculus.

Discipline and accountability will be improved greatly with Kelly.

That attitude seems to work pretty well at Alabama.
