If it’s down to Texas and Alabama, then it’s a pretty simple choice. It’s Texas. They have the same record and they beat Bama at home by double digits.

Sure, sure. This isn’t the same Bama team from three months ago. But it is the same Bama team from a week ago that need a miracle to beat a 6-6 team that got blown out by New Mexico State the week prior.

Beating Bama at home means nothing in CFB. Bama is the exception to every rule. When they lose, they win. When they beat you, you fall a long way.

It is why CFB will always be a pageant and not a real competition many years.

Forget the favorable officiating they need to win, forget barely beating a team that lost to New Mexico, and forget the annual loss at home in a big game.

None of that matters. They play by different standards are are part of everything that is wrong with the sport.

The fact that LSU fans actually back them is hilarious to me.

No shite Bama isn’t getting in. Have you seen me post?

OP blamed Texas getting a win on the refs. clockwork for an LSU fan to bring that up

Bama should have lost to a bad auburn team. We could’ve technically beat them too

If all games matter then why doesn’t Texas’s loss to OK matter?

Because when all games matter we don’t only look at the losses. That concept seems like it should be pretty simple.

That would matter if they didn’t literally beat Alabama

So both teams have close wins vs shitty teams. Luckily we have a head to head matchup between them to settle it and Texas won that game.

And Bama should have lost to Auburn if not for a miracle play in the final seconds.

Two of them, actually.

I feel like it is coming down to Bama and FSU. Texas will get in due to its win over Bama and conference championship.

FSU - Won a P5 conference, but is not one of the four best teams, which is what the CFPC has to consider.
Bama - Won the SEC, but has one loss.

Tough decision. Either is both correct and incorrect.

Bama has a higher value top win - Georgia… and a higher value single loss - Texas

I don’t see how Bama jumps a team with the same record who beat them.

Texas should have lost to Houston as well if not by several bad calls on refs.

If you go by refball Bama would never get in.

Tell us you haven't watched FSU's defense play without saying you haven't watched FSU's defense play.
Tell me I was right about them being out of the Final Four.
