How do you view it? Is the team motivated by that last second loss? Is this a coming out party for the Tigers? Just wondering what the psyche of the team and coaches is.

Fully expect it to be a revenge game for Maason Smith. He was helpless and had to watch the loss.

It shouldn’t be a revenge game because the players have only themselves to blame for that loss. Should be more of a coming out party

Could call it that, LSU did not play well last year and should have tied it. BK has had a year to get ready for FSU and has more talent. I think LSU wins going away. Close for three then pulls away. Better Defense and Offense. FSU will just not be able to handle LSU's defense and Perkins and the killer B's at safety Brooks and Burns...LSU wins by 10-14 points.

I am strangely not worried about Florida State. We came pretty darn close last year with a team that’s not nearly as good as this one.

Coming out party? Yes. Revenge, not necessarily. We played poorly last year so no one to blame but us

No one wants to get beat two years in a row by the same team. Total revenge game AND coming out party. I can't understand not selling it as a revenge game to fire up the team. Tigers by at least 14!

Funny you say this, I was listening to Redemption(Rocky 2 Theme) by Bill Conti(LSU alum) and was thinking it would be a perfect walkout song for the band or the sound system to play.

But then I thought that was tempting fate a little too much on week 1.

I forget, did Perkins have a big impact against. FSU last year? Or did he not start imposing himself until later in the year. It seems the later to me. Perkins and Smith should make a huge difference this year.

I hate the "revenge game" moniker. The players are going to try to win, no matter what. I don't know if it's going to add any juice for the players to get up for this game.

ETA: I would totally buy Harold Perkins as the Punisher. Add some hair to the Punisher logo = profit.

FSU is just a tune-up for Grambling

Not really, we should have won last year. Very disappointing.

I think so. Not sure why all the downvotes.

In the grand scheme of the season, it’s not the most important game, but they definitely don’t want to lose to them 2 years in a row.

I think more of a statement game. A two TD win over a top 10 team would set the tone for the season and send notice to the rest of the country.
