I hope he does. He has a chance to become a legend in Louisiana if he does…..

He’s going to strike while the iron is hot. Funny thing is, bunch of people said Milazzo made himself a bunch of money with his bat this year. Travinski’s OPS is double Milazzo’s

Travinski has flown up draft boards. He won’t be back.

Probably not, but I doubt his draft stock is all that high even with his performance this year

Limited hitting track record for a guy who is likely a DH in pro ball means a capped draft ceiling

He & Jobert have both positioned themselves to be drafted. But you wonder when they were on the verge of being cut, what drew them back to lsu? It probably wasn’t to get drafted. They will have a decision to make I reckon

I would love for both to return.

With him extending his hot streak and the significant injuries he has overcome it's probably a no-brainer for him to go.

I would expect LSU to lose

Travinski
Milazzo
Morgan
Beloso
Dugas
Thompson
Crews
Possibly Jobert

That's a ton of production.

And then a handful of transfers.

Doubtful. He gives you absolutely nothing defensively and while he’s been a great hitter for us, that’s not gonna get him flying up the draft boards.

Man, hard to say with certainty. Yes he is white hot right the last month but overall that’s a small sample size. the power will play but at the pro level he looks like a one tool guy without a defensive position.

I’m not saying it can’t happen for him, I just don’t think it’s some slam dunk

From where he started the season being on a draft board helps.

A guy with his power always has some vale in mlb due to the DH. But he has to do it consistently and be able to hit any pitch.

Do people really expect Thompson to go pro after this year?

Without talking to him directly it’s just a guess. Is he a guy that would take 10k as a free agent just to go take his shot as an older guy? (Draft is only 20 rounds these days and with minor leagues slashed there are way fewer spots than even 5 years ago)

Yes. He’s a Jr. and will be drafted inside of ten rounds.

Athletic SS that has performed consistently for 3 years. Also came into lsu with a lot of draft hype.

He’s a low floor, low ceiling guy that can sneak into the top 150 picks

Thanks for the answer. I know there was talk about it earlier in the season, then the rest of the season happened.

Was just curious because you can see the potential is there.
