MLK would be proud of you. Why not be happy that he recruited good players instead of looking at the color of their skin.

Speaking of diversity, do we categorize Kling as Nicklebackan or Kid Rockian?

Just an observation. Never seen an LSU baseball team with that many minorities. Pretty cool.

Can you educate me on why it “pretty cool” and why it matters?

I think "diversity" has taken on an Orwellian meaning i.e. just the opposite of what it really is. Today's diversity, so-called, is informed by uniformity with the disappearance of cultures and languages which has been the case probably for centuries. Look what happened to indigenous peoples on every continent-erased with their language, history and culture down the memory hole. I do not celebrate such "diversity".

Who gives an actual frick about diversity? I don't care if they are all black, white, Asian, etc etc. If they are a good representative of the university and work their arse off then who gives a frick about diversity. sick of this shite.

You think we’re diverse now? Just wait until we become the new baseball destination for all of Latin America.

Because it elicits these kind of responses and makes people like you mad.

Very funny.

Is this the most diverse baseball team ever next year? by Islandboy777The upcoming season has players from all over The United States. A lot from the West Coast , Texas, Georgia and Florida. Hispanics,Blacks, and Asian.

…and a construction worker, a police officer, a sailor, an Indian.

We could start our own YMCA. How fun!

"Destination of all Latin America": someone here said that MLB has a "fund" for subsidizing these players. Effectively keeping them from going to college. But now with NIL, not sure how that will shake out. One would think that with his West Coast ties, CJJ would have contacts out that way re Latin American players. The Calif. schools alone usually have rosters with multiple such players.

Do not care where they are from as long as they win. I would think every CBB player would want to play for the defending National Champs.

I think it’s pretty interesting to see that LSU, a school in the mid um sized southern city, is attracting the best baseball players regardless
of background.

Jay gets elite talent wherever he can find it. Pretty awesome that he's bringing in guys from so many different places and backgrounds.
