People say this bc in camp last year prior to his injury, he was unblockable. He was in the backfield nearly every play and was sometimes subbed out so that the offense could actually run some plays without him completely disrupting it.

Just because you haven’t “seen” it in a game doesn’t mean it’s not there. There’s a reason he is viewed as a top draft pick despite not having played in games. It’s because when the ones go against the ones in practice, he dominates.

Right after his injury last September, I made a post that a guy his size with an ACL surgery...it might be mid season before he was fully 100% & conditioned. I got down voted to oblivion. It hasn't even been 12 months since his ACL surgery. It's amazing to me that he's back even practicing right now given his size. I would bet he plays in the FSU game but I also bet it's abt 25% of the snaps.

I get what you're saying after how excited I was to watch Trevonte Valentine wreck opposing offenses. We'll see soon enough with Smith. Hope he's healthy and ready to roll in two weeks.

An injured ankle shoukd explain it well enough. When an ankle doesn’t provide proper support is when knee injuries occur. That’s why they tape te ankles, to avoid knee injuries. If a recent ACL injury has occurred and been repaired and rehabbed you should definitely let an ankle injury heal before giving it heavy use.

This exactly. And I remember our D line coach saying he wouldn’t call him shite until he saw it on the field.
That’s where we are.

Mostly because they have EYES & have watched him during his limited action.

Everyone targets him with all-american when they talk about him. Might be a reason for that you know? He has an all-american right by him and behind him so it can't hurt his production either can it?

This is key. Last year he was seen as one of two difference makers along the font 7 coming in. With the emergence of Wingo and Perkins, he doesn’t have to carry a massive load alone. DCs know they can’t just key on one of the above.

We also have a lot of depth, so he can rotate and stay within his limits, especially early in the season.

Sorry, but nothing really supports that during his time at LSU. I would bar him from any celebrations whatsoever.... just to be safe.

He needs to see contact and as much full practice as the other players, would have been cool to see him practicing like normal. Hype not lived up to yet....

He had a typical camp injury. Nothing major just happens. They are being extremely cautious. He will be fine.

He's played a true freshman season where he was solid, not spectacular, and a handful of plays in his second season. MAYBE it is a bit too early to start calling him a bust
