Most underachieving TEAMS in LSU sports history IMHO

This may be true but the expectations were so incredibly high.....no team, short of a final 4 appearance, would have lived up to them.

That is what Alleva has been selling for years. Mediocrity. Lower the fan's expectations and we keep our jobs "forever". Sports Socialism 101. Where have y'all been. Wake up Tiger Nation !!!

I don't agree with that. Sure they had a few folks here talking Final Four, but I think the expectation of most was make the tournament and win one or two games. That was mine. Heck Victor even turned out better than I thought to boot....at least offensively.

And we fell not only short of that, but frankly were lucky because of the underachievement to be mentioned for as long as we were as a tournament possibility.

Heaven forbid we have realistic expectations for a team to achieve to their potential and maybe even have a shot at overachieving. The nerve!

Good recruiter, got momentum back, not a good X and O coach, and fell on their face with very good talent in their last year(s).

Reminds me of JJ's mentor.

Johnny Jones is Dale Brown, minus the charisma.

Search committee should be quietly working now.
It should be funded, but not populated, by the LSU BB insiders who engineered this last, dubious hire.

Jones was hired because of Shaq. Now the ball is in Shaq's court. If his son doesn't sign with LSU, then Jones is fired after next season.

Wait. Shaq's son is signing with LSU, to play on a team with the "#1 recruit in America"? I am starting to see the bigger picture. Not sure it was all JJ to get Simmons to sign with LSU.

The ball may be in Shaq's court indeed.
