BK hasn’t had this team ready to go for the first game in his tenure. So probably not

Klubnik (basically same Heisman odds as Nuss) would really have to shite the bed at home while his counterpart has a good game

Our OL (particularly the new tackles) would have to fare well against a DL that may have 2 Top-5 picks next April

Road blowouts on good competition aren’t really a thing. This is also realistically Clemson’s biggest test of the year and they will be disproportionately prepared for it. It would have to be the game of Kelly’s tenure to stomp a hole in them. I’d settle for a plain dub

Diversify your thoughts. Watch the news. There are currently plenty of real-life situations demanding your attention.

Yes bc we’ve determined I am the jinx. Lost every opening game I’ve attended. I’ll be watching the Clemson game from home. You’re all welcome.

I'll take whatever we can get Grrrl.

Tough to do Week 1 for anyone. They're talented, well coached, and have playoff aspirations as well. Good QB, at home and at night. That's a tall task.

I know Georgia embarrassed them in an opener, but is anyone outside of the program viewing this team as being on that level at this point? I don't think so.

Honestly, LSU has lost so many consecutive season openers that we will be mentally challenged and tight playing the game. If we actually get off to a good start, I could see that jump starting into a big game.

We got off to a good start last year. shite our pants in the second half.

It’s the same world where we shite the bed against much lesser teams at neutral sites… I say no.

Maybe if O or Les is the HC and Burrow or Daniels is playing QB

Otherwise, no

Would love that but I just cannot see this happening. It’ll be a close one and we’ll have to get a little lucky.

It’s sad but I can’t imagine LSU winning another game 1 if it’s a legitimate school. BK doesn’t get his teams ready. Period.

Of course that is very possible.
It should have happened on opening day several times since 2019.

y'all won't like to hear this but in the LSU world of Les Miles we go in there and skull frick them, he could always get the team ready for those "kickoff classic" type of games

I know all the shemales on here will just flame about BK can’t get a team ready for an opener blah blah blah.

I miss the days when I’d go to say Seattle and know we were going to shite the bed on offense but that we were going to crush the other teams will with a physical smothering defense.

That said. I think we finally have some pieces on defense and Baker is the real deal.

Its very hard to see. Clemson is one of last old school philosophies in stopping the run. They just play good defense overall. Reflection of Dabo. Say whatever about passing offenses, if you have no run game , you are one dimensional and wont win games or become elite.

They happen to now have a veteran QB who can throw it really good and has excellent vision and can turn into a running back like Daniel's was. When is the last time we accounted for running qbs? Never.

They will be at home and return several players. They are a legitimate top 8(perhaps higher) team.

I'll say this, if we go there and beat Clemson straight up, this team will be special. I just dont see it because we dont recruit those kinds of guys that Clemson gets on "defense". Before I get downvoted, just hear me out. LSU recruits players who are talented af but they dont demonstrate the personality that has the "mindset" of playing devastating defense. Perhaps we get decent dbs sometimes and a lber here or there that follow a system of playing great defense. We got the talent but not the personality that fits. Our defenses always lacked the run stopping D lineman since Saban left. Say what you want but we hardly ever beat opponents up front. Your front is where you win games.....we dont have that and haven't had that in a long while.

Eh. Dabo teams are generally well coached and play VERY well at home.

It will be close, but we need the ball last.

There’s been no evidence from Brian Kelly to indicate this team will be prepared to win any opening game.

Is your stance that he just forgot how to do so?

He won 10 of 12 openers at Notre Dame.
