I don't care for Landry because he's in bed with the slip and fall lawyers, but his involvement won't amount to much. Too many of you are too dramatic.

Live out of state so couldn’t care less who the governor is. Don’t disagree with anything he has said, however, can’t help but feel LSU is the guinea pig against the NCAA in all this.

It’s pretty clear to me whoever forked up the money for BK’s buyout also stipulated that woody had to go. I don’t completely agree but also don’t disagree. These contracts are insane.

I don’t care for Landry, but what likely happened did give cause to jettison Woodward.

Kelly meets with Woodward on Sunday, sometime during the conversation something occurred that couldn’t get walked back. LSU is now on the hook for $53 million, with no money committed to a buyout and no sign off from the BOS. After this occurs Woodward notifies the BOS, which then notifies the governor and necessitates the meeting at the governors mansion.

I was told by a large donor Sunday morning that Sloan was getting canned, something had to go sideways for Kelly to be launched at this juncture.

Did you somehow just blame Tate for a shooting at a tailgate?

I think Landry has been an embarrassment much longer than a week but his clownish grandstanding does not diminish the LSU job. The hysterics are just stupid.

JFC this OP has been the absolute worst. We get it, you don't like Landry. Nobody here does.

What are you going to do to those who support him, Comrade?

You frickers need to get a life and realize Landry isn't stopping a great hire. Your LDS is going to make you miserable and at this point I'm loving it.

agree with firing Kelly, and I am fine with Woodward being canned. But just the way it all happened makes us seem like a radioactive job that nobody wants except for Landrys lackeys

Approach? No. I wish Landry would be candid BEHIND closed doors and stop yapping all over television and social media. Happy to get rid of CBK and Scott Woodward? Yes. For CBK, the reasons are obvious and with Scott Woodward is because he whiffed so bad on the Football Coach hire and agreed to such a ridiculous, non-incentive based contract AFTER he did the exact thing with A&M. That’s a pattern and it’s unacceptable. You don’t get a 2nd bite at that apple. People may say that he brought in Jay Johnson, Kim Mulkey, and Jay Clark, but those programs lose money and don’t pay our bills. Football is King at this University and he deserves to be gone.

The last week events were made possible by a group of men that all had enough money to make bad decisions and blame a bad outcome on someone else or grab the glory if things turn out great. I have seen this type of behavior in board rooms where arrogant men with power taunt each other with their money and knowledge escalating the outcome to the point of ridicules decisions

All that was needed was a fired offensive coordinator, calm heads, make a decision after seasons end with class behind closed doors keeping all the dirty laundry out of the press

I blame him for bringing in looser standards that allowed that climate to infest the campus. he said he was going to do it at his introductory presser

We will find those people who have no opportunity to come to LSU, and fund them, and give them a better life. His words. Not mine

He found them. Funded them, and in his 4th year our university atmosphere has tanked. Two shootings on campus, from campus tailgates

Name another university that has had 2 tailgates shootings in a dew weeks.

The shooters didnt just wander on to campus looking to shoot someone, they were part of the organized tailgates of "fans". How do we get these fans all of a sudden? Two times? In a few weeks?

Kelly should have been let go after the regular season.

What Landry did getting Woodward fired was great. Three years too late actually

Assuming Landry's antics seriously impair LSU's athletic dept (which I believe it did) then this stain will be what most voters remember when it comes time for re-election.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Latoya/SWB type from the Democrat side win Governor.....all thanks to Landry's buffoonery..

The quality level of the coaches still interested in LSU just took a serious hit. Landry just did Penn St. and Florida a huge favor.

So dramatic. This is hyperbolic af

Baton Rouge has one of the highest crime rates in the country. Color me shocked that a shitty town has shitty people coming to the only event worth going to there.

LSU has been having those fans. Walk two blocks off campus and you’ll see it firsthand

Not a Landry fan at all - but a performance based contract IS the only sensical thing the man has uttered.
