If CBK goes after him, then yes, if not, then no.
If anyone should know it is CBK.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence he entered the portal this late when he has probably a 75% chance of being the starter here for his former coach. Also to keep in mind, he only rarely played because the two guys in front of him are going to be/were top 2 round draft picks. He’s got a lot of talent, great build for a TE

He definitely looks the part. Don't know how good he is but he isn't lacking the size to be a combo blocking/receiving tight end. He could probably even add a few more lbs of muscle to be a better blocker.

I’d hold the spot. There will be a better TE enter the portal between now and the summer time. 4 spots left and we should be selective with how we use them.

It is no coincidence he’s in the portal, but BC seems to be his first interest.

From what I gather LSU have already been pursuing him, which is the main reason he entered the transfer portal after initially declaring he'd come back for a final year. You can expect to see him in Baton Rouge for the 2022 season.
He has his degree from Notre Dame so he leaves with everyone's best wishes. He's a solid player who the Irish would have liked to have kept, and now he'll have a chance to be TE1 and not in Michael Meyer's shadow. Good luck to the fella.

Who would know more than our coach?

In my life and love for the game of football I have always placed heavy emphasis on Offensive Line and to actually use the TE (i.e. LSU and Saints ). CBK seems to see it that way, too.
Get ready Tiger fans LSU is going to redevelop it's reputation as tough and gritty. I can't wait!

That is a function of who was playing in front of him more than his abilities.
He will be a solid contributor here.

Guy isn't any good. I bet Kelly doesn't pursue him. 5th year SR. with 8 career receptions for less than 100 yards. And Notre Dame throws to the TE a lot, 74 receptions by Mayer. Yet you are drooling over him just because we need a TE.

Yes, but he will probably end up at Boston College.
