Newsflash: Winning the SEC championship is a big deal. It's a big deal to the coaches, the players, and the fans... Except for a few noodle brained snowflakes like yourself.

The mentality is having an SEC championship doesn’t mean shot compared to a national title. We more than likely would be playing Georgia. The odds of beating a team twice in the same season are not in our favor especially when it will be almost a home game for that team. The question is can we even give the SEC powers that be the middle finger and move on to bigger things. That move would also most likely block Bama from backing in as Georgia would maintain there ranking in top 4 from not having lost in said game.

Mike Slice was shining shoes somewhere at the time. You mean Roy Kramer.

For Bama, yes.

For LSU, no.

Everyone of those individuals would take a National Championship over an SEC Championship.

Lol Slive wasn’t the commissioner in 1992. Roy Kramer was but he was questioned on why he wanted a championship game. Worked out well SEC makes money off it

LSU is a close 3rd behind UGA/UT for second most SEC titles. It's important to me and others that LSU win the SEC when they have the chance. OP is a tard.

I tell you what... Say this word out loud: FORFEIT

Now use it in a sentence, as in:

"We, LSU, hereby forfeit the SEC championship to Georgia."

Not a coach or player on this planet would do this.

That’s dumb, but had LSU beaten Fla, they could lose a competitive game with Bama and been the team that got to rest up while Bama played in the SECCG. The loss to Fla was huge.

Let me hit you with a little dose of reality son- If you do that then you essentially tell your team that your scared. Nut up and win.

If we don't win the SEC Championship we don't deserve to go to the playoffs. Same as Bama whether they are allowed in or not.

I’m not a supporter of this. Yet if a statement said that we have learned from recent past that the SEC championship isn’t important so we are just preparing for the playoffs, I would be in favor just for the Bama SEC melt of it all.

Cup the balls too, you poon. My argument is the SEC CG can be a losing situation for the higher ranked team.

The OP is a tard. Everyone agrees on that.

If we go 10-2, we will have exceeded 95% of everyone’s expectations and make a great bowl game.

And yeah it’s kind of a soft move but if Bama gets a shot at the playoffs without playing in the game can we even consider doing it as well?

Soft? SOFT???

It would be the ultimate chickenshit move. Like GaTech amputating their nuts and dropping out of the SEC. Like Bama fixing it to avoid playing Fla.

It would be the end of respect for LSU.

LSU couldn’t skip the Florida game when they cancelled due to the threat of potential, maybe it would be close, bad weather. What makes you think that they could “skip” this? And in this case, I can promise that they wouldn’t want to.

Read the history of the first SECCG. Both Bama and UF were upset about it and Slive faced fierce resistance. It has a parallel to what you are saying.

You read the wrong history book.
