Woodward needs to pull off a Mulkey type hire for baseball, don’t bullshite around.

Credibility would be severely lacking if this is to be believed as the source of this story.

He’s been given a very large check by the BOS and told to get who he wants. So we’ll see what he does with it. Money and promises won’t be a hold up for whomever is picked

Will LSU keep it in the family with some kind of ties to the program like they’ve done with Smoke and Paul?

Jim Schlossnaggle is a great choice.

Going to retire for health reasons is what I was told.

In part, yes. It was very much a compromise situation between he and Woodward on how this will all go down

I think Woodward feels he owes that to Mainari. He’s been very successful coach at LSU up until the last couple of seasons. Two National championship appearances, winning one. Five CWS appearances. 4 SEC championships. 6 SEC tourney championships. He’s nearly a year older right now than Skip was when he stepped down. I think he steps down after this year. He probably loves coaching but he knows it’s time. I just hope Woodward swings for the fences in the next hire.

I hate this site, with all negativity. I need to stay away, you people suck. Paul retires and this young team comes together and dominates. Then it's like, this new coach is a genius!!! REALLY?!!!
