Les is perfectly content with taking in a hefty salary from LSU by doing nothing but pretending to be looking for a job. He's no better than a bum on the street trying to milk the system of benefits and it's at the heavy expense of the school.
You’re pointing the anger in the wrong place
Our AD was the one who gave him that buyout. Blaming miles for taking advatange of that is so childish. Grow up Peter Pan. You’d do the same damn thing.

The part that pisses me off is that there are still many fans of Les more so than the school itself. Everyone knows towards the end it was time for him to go. But to continue to milk the system and put the screws to LSU is aggravating as all hell. So for that, frick Les and frick his fans who put him over LSU.
Totally agree. I will add that Les wanted to be fired.

Les and his agent actively pursued that extension and even applied outside pressure through the Arkansas BS.
Then a few years in Les either got tired or pissed and dared JA to fire him. Now Les is enjoying a very nice retirement and mooning JA.

And our AD was the one who called that bluff. The blame lies at his feet. Miles is doing what’s best for his career and his family. Blaming him is so stupid

Good for him. No one deserves it more than joe Alleva

No he wouldn’t. You’re a fool to believe so. He’s retired.

IF he is intentionally bombing interviews, it's unethical. LSU agreed to pay him as long as he was attempting to find a similar job. Taking interviews for show is not him holding up his end, it's him stealing knowing it can't be proven.

Well who's fault is that? Everybody knew Miles wasn't leaving LSU for Arkansas. There was no chance. Everybody but for one person knew that (Joe Aleva). If you are mad at Miles for collecting on the contract he negioated with LSU then be mad at who agreed to it at LSU.

I guess Kansas doesn't have the chest to hire Les.

lol
There’s lots of people “stealing” money in the LSU football program right now.

I'm fine with that. You fired him, you pay him.
I agree with this. I think it was time to part ways with Les. It should have been done after the 2015 season.
But after him being fired 4 games into the 2016 season, he's been supportive of the LSU football program and shown himself to be a class act regarding getting dismissed.
He signed a contract guaranteeing a buyout, providing he attempts to look for work. It sounds like he's holding up his end of the bargain.
He deserves the money in my opinion.
Anyone whining about this is showing how classless and petty they are.

Miles may be a lot of things, unethical is not one of them.

And I constantly question why do universities pay large amounts of money to keep crappy coaches. There are about 3 or 4 coaches that are worth buy out clauses. We increased our buy out clause for Les when we already had major problems with him. A smart AD has to have conversations with other coaches to keep his options open. Her we are paying Les to eat grass and beer-hose football fields and still collect money from us. that's just stupid of universities.

Part of his buyout involves seeking a job. It is treated like unemployment.

Do you know how many programs would love to have the record lsu had from 2012-2016.
Not every program thinks 10 win seasons are their floor and he has proven he can go to a horrible program and make them respectable in a shirt time

I think it's pretty clear that he doesn't want to coach
There’s your answer. Les just asks for his standard rate, and the Purdues and Kansases and Houstons don’t have that much money to spend.
Good job, Miles haters.
