I think there’s a possibility Kansas decided to go in another direction.

nah... Kansas would love a big name like Miles.
Something they've lacked.

What? He got an extension when he had 2 sec titles, a national title,2 title game appearances in a 5 year stretch. The 7 previous seasons he had 4 top 5 finishes and as many top 10 finishes as the previous 40 years of lsu football combined.

There were no major problems with Les. LSU fans have major problems with Bama envy, is all.

Then why is he unemployed? No one wants him that's why. With a resume like that and they treat him like he has cancer. He is not a sought after coach. Period!

He is 65. The average age of p5 coach is 44. He would be the oldest coach hired in over a decade. Also, you have no idea what school has put out feelers and he has said no too.
He has been more successful than his predecessors at every stop.
There is one old coach in cfb that everyone would want and he is Nick Saban. Cfb programs dont hire old coaches

How much does it hurt your soul to know Miles is better cfb coach that you are at anything in life?

The fact that you think every call is public lets me know how little you know about the sport.

Same reason a lot of people on welfare don’t get jobs. The buyout money he makes necessarily increases his asking price past the point that most schools are willing to pay.

Miles is done coaching, and I strongly suspect that's his call. I think he wanted to retire by now anyway, and go enjoy himself doing other things. LSU just gave him a golden parachute.

I think he could have gotten another job if he had wanted. I don't think he wanted. This isn't an indictment of his ability, dude won at a level most coaches only dream of. I just think he isn't wired to coach until he dies, the way Saban is.

It’s a pattern. Les will never take a job, he pretends to show interest so he can keep collecting the buyout

I expected this in the first place. Kansas is F'ing up though. They have fired the guy but are letting him finish out the season. I dont think their search is serious yet.

The dilema now for teams is that with the early signing period you need to have direction by end of the season to save the signing class. Problem is that there are more available coaches after the season ending firings and desertions for new jobs.
