Yes it does. It implies that there hasn’t been one team that was coached as good as any team since the saban era.
Which is probably accurate. Saban had to build things here. Miles picked up where he left off.
What you should be asking yourself is how do you think Saban would have done with the 2005 team and how do you think Miles would have done with the 2004 roster.
Do you think Miles would fare better in both scenarios? I don't.

Saban didn't forget how to coach after the 2003 season.
I get it though. You can't do anything but look at the W/L column, so, that's all you have.
OK. Then, Hugh Freeze was a better coach than Miles in 2014 and 2015.
In 2008, Houston Nutt was a better coach than Miles. So was Marc Richt
Wait. What's that you say? In 2008 there were factors being just coaching that contributed to losses?
Well no fricking shite
This is an epic fricking melt that still misses the point

Then why not name a specific season in the Saban era? Miles also coach a National Championship team and was named Coach of the Year. Neither of those coaching jobs was as good as any given season in the Saban era? I never even liked Miles as a coach but the amount of disrespect he gets on this board is crazy to me.

I don’t hate it all all, but that season was not without flaws
Do you think that year was coached better than this one so far?
You forgetting the weekly melts over our defensive scheme?

2007 was an extremely well coached team
How? If we were so well coached we wouldn’t have gone to double OT in 2 games against middle of the road SEC teams and lost.

O at ole Miss was a good coach since O is a great coach now. Either you agree with this, or you realize your logic is dumb.

No one is. We are talking about individual seasons. Wtf is wrong with you and rob?

You continue to own the conversation

Perhaps more absurd is that you would have to believe that such a coach is actually regressing in their coaching prime

You continue to get absolutely bodied in this discussion and it is amazing

You've claimed more than that though. You also used Bellichick as an example with hIs terrible record on Cleveland. So yes it must be the same

Uh huh. Yes. We know. You think a guy that is GREAT one year, kind of somehow forgets how to coach the VERY NEXT year.

It’s not one year. It’s a general reference over a period of years.
You fricks are weird
