Is it fair to say this is overall the best coached LSU team since the Saban era?

Yeah, let’s act like the previous coach never won games and the team never looked good

If your goal is to ignore a particular coach's accomplishments, sure.

Well, considering it’s the best coaching staff since then...yes.

Yes. This team is very mature, and just doesn’t beat themselves.

Even you can admit glossing over the greatest run in the program is a little much

You can’t be serious if you are agreeing with him.

les' first 3 years had a great staff. jimbo, pellini then crowton

it is not even an argument. and i detest all the natty teams and talent les squandered.

Which team was better coached than this?

Offense + defense + ST

In-game decisions regarding clock, personnel, timing etc

2007 was an extremely well coached team and, frankly, so was the 2011 - 2011 just didn't have a QB and no amount of chemical experimentation could cook us up one out of thin air (Mett wasn't ready).

2005 and 2006 were incredibly well coached teams as was 2013.

Dumb thread is dumb.

(2019 is a fantastic fricking LSU football team, though - coaches, players and, save a few whining pussies, fans, etc.)

ETA: If this team closes the deal, finishes undefeated and the CFB playoffs? It is either:

1. The best LSU team - ever, or

2. Co-equal with 1958, which was a pretty bad arse team filled with two way players who didn't even grasp the concept of losing.

That's not the question in the OP. It's whether or not it's the best since the Saban era. Which would mean that no Miles coached team was better than Saban's last year. That is a joke.

Losing to two inferior opponents mainly because of coaching decisions is not good coaching

So you're on record that the offense wasn't well coached in 2007. Neat.
