A direct quote:

“Florida State is back,” FSU defensive end Jared Verse. “It’s the simplest way to say it.”

Is it possible we are still pretty good, but just ran into the reemergence of FSU as a powerhouse? I know some phases of the game didn’t look good, but playing against a top tier team may have just made it seem that way.

Define “Back”. I saw a 7-5 team. We made every mistake in the book and lost by a point.

Looking at FSU's schedule, they're poised for a 5-0 start. Going 3-4 over their final 7 games, would put them at 8 wins with a chance for 9 in a bowl game. It looks like they'll be a respectable loss this year.

They are not back, but they are at least in the right road now. Win 8-9 games this year.

Not with that squad they fielded Sunday. They were equally as bad as us.

They aren't going to be a top 10 team at the end of the year, but they will likely be ranked for a good part of the season.

However, they are better than most of our fan base gives them credit for. They played a top 10 Notre Dame really close last year. They also played well down the stretch last season closing at 5-3 with close loss to UF and a tough game against Clemson. No one here paid any attention to it and thought this was the same FSU dumpster fire from a few years ago or the one that lost to Jacksonville state the week after the notre dame heartbreak.

I guess it depends on the definition of back. If by back they mean dominant as they were from the 80's to the early 2000's...NO.

Nah. LSU made them look better than they are. Talk in late October.

No LSU gave them 2 muffed punts, 2 blocked FGs, dropped TDs, generally played like crap and still almost won.

FSU will end up around 0.500 this year.

No. Norvell is a mid major coach—A cheerleader that can only improve things so much. He’s Butch Jones, Tom Herman, Kevin Sumlin. They’ll have a promising season, get a lot of hype and a top 15 ranking next year, then trail off. Hope we put a thumping on them.

This is a butthurt thing to say. With how intense the ending of that game was and how they won on a borderline miracle, blocking a PAT...I don’t blame them nor should you.

This game should have been played on a peewee field and televised on the hallmark channel. Both teams are garbage
