Is Finebaum correct?

If Ohio state beats penn state LSU will drop? I think he is wrong LSU still has better strengths of schedule. Hope he eats crow but of course he will try to rationalize his ineptness.

When we beat UGA in championship game and they do the final rankings for the playoff seeding I believe we will be #1. I agree with that prick, we may fall before that. It really does not matter until the last one though.

Not sure if we drop this week, but Ohio St. is about to play Penn State, and Michigan. If Ohio St. wins those games, and we win ours both 12-0, we most likely will be ranked #2. Most likely won’t matter much though, because we would probably jump Ohio St. again with a win over Georgia in the SEC championship.

No, beating Penn State is not bigger than beating Bama at Alabama. Also that would be Penn state's second loss.

If Bama sneaks in I would rather face them for all of the marbles than in the semifinal. If we are number 1 and they sneak in, we see them in the semifinal. Not scared of them but would like to avenge 2012 in the same venue in which it occurred.

If LSU wins out, they will be #1. The final rankings are all that matters.
And yes, getting the #1 seed is a major advantage. That has you most likely playing the winner of the Pac 12 CG in Atlanta as opposed to playing Clemson in Arizona.
