Yep, the 2nd best player on an all-time great team is a poor man's first overall pick.

Simmons' new HC compares Ben to Draymond Green Ahh, 31 downvotes, 0 upvotes Chad504boy scores. And i hardly watch basketball and am smarter than most of yous.

In the OP you said is Draymond Green is a poor man's Ben Simmons? He is an NBA all-star on a 73 win team that was 1 win from a championship. Ben Simmons is a first pick with no nba playing time and a flop of a college career. If the 76ers coach is comparing Simmons to Green, then the question should be, is Ben Simmons a poor mans Draymond Green? Not the other way around

So yeah, you are still wrong.

If anything it's the other way around, but they have very different styles.
I don't see Simmons being that successful though.

Ben Simmons has proven nothing to no one yet! LSU did better without him on the court this year and if you dont agree you obviously didn't watch lsu b ball this season. He's 6'10" and not aggressive. And he can't shoot. Green was 4 points away from a Finals MVP in which he didn't even play one game. I you guys are so "Simmons is an lsu guy" blinded!
At least if you compared Fournette to say Barry Sanders you'd have FournettE's 2 seasons at lsu to reference.
What has Simmons done to make yall ride his nutts?!?!

I would take draymond green over Simmons any day. That's a terrible comparison. Simmons is soft and has no jump shot whatsoever. The sixers will be drafting in the top5 again next year.

Green played like a man in college after he was already injured.
He can shoot. So he's on another level from Simmons.
They are both smooth. Green's smoother.

Simmons is the poorer mans Green. Green is better. a lot better at this point.

What a weird comparison. And even if it was a good one, how can an accomplished NBA veteran be considered a "poor man's" rookie who has never played a professional game?

Thread sucks.

Good for you?

ETA: You could have just easily asked "is Ben Simmons a younger Draymond Green?" To imply that Simmons is the superior player when he hasn't even stepped on the floor is what I find ridiculous

Whatever shred of credibility you had in this thread, you completely blew it up with this. I mean WOW.

ETA: I take it back. Just about every post you've made in this thread has dumbass written all over it.

Well, I mean no shite that a 26 year old NBA all-star is currently better than a 19 year old that hasn't played in the league. But Simmons was without doubt way better than Green was when he was the same age. Like, not even comparable. The question is whether Simmons can develop and progress like Green could. And frankly no one here knows the answer to that.
