Possible... Losing Hornsby was HUGE.... But it would have been a nice win for the program.........

Heild had nothing to do with how Simmons played
This was your 1st post.
You were saying Simmons didnt take over in the last 10 minutes and Heild did.
quote:
He became very scared to even try.... Why???? We will never know. Heild took advantage and smoked lsu......
You brought up Heild playing well the last 10 minutes and Simmons didnt, not me.

You're a poor man's idiot.

Oh we know why. The team wpuld see pro scouts in the arena and try to boost their draft status. TQ particularly.
Its doesnt bode well for a team when your 2nd best all arlund player is trying to play hero ball on offense and he refuses to play the team defense that made him one of the best on ball defenders in the sec. You also blame Coach Jones for not nipping this in the bud before it was too late. How many times did we see TQ refuse to throw the ball into Simmons on the block or the elbow?

I know I did... But Heild didn't STOP Ben from playing the way he was in the 1st half.... If it had ben real early in the season I would understand more. Bt Ben had been playing 3/4 of the season up to that game....

I think they mean Green out of college. Of course anyone would take green now over Simmons

You know you will get maximum effort out of Green.
With Simmons, it is yet to be seen if he will ever
give that all out effort the way Green does.
The basketball players who sleep walk through their one year of college and the football players through their JR year because they have such high draft status in many cases seem to lose their edge and never seem to get it back.
The really top players simply do not have it in their DNA to give anything less than top effort no matter what the situation is. I feel very sure that is what we will see with LF this football season.

I've viewed Ben as a taller Rondo.

Draymond plays with an insane amount of heart. Little Ben couldn't sniff half of his heart if he took it straight from chubs' chest
And for the record, I think Draymond is a cheapshot little bitch and wished LeBron would have finished that dunk on him in game 7.

LSU did better without him on the court this year and if you dont agree you obviously didn't watch lsu b ball this season.
Simmons was 9th in the nation in box +/- and had the 2nd highest for a true freshman in the last 6 years. But sure... We were better and more efficient with him off the floor than when he was on it

Holy shite. He led the team in almost every category. Assist, blocks, rebounds, steals, points. He was top 5 in the sec in almost everyone of those categories.
quote:
He's 6'10" and not aggressive.
What? He was 4th in the entire country(1st in the sec) in free throw attempts. He most certainly was aggressive when driving to the hoop.
quote:
And he can't shoot.
Magic Johnson, Lebron James, and Draymond couldnt shoot when they got to the nba.
quote:
What has Simmons done to make yall ride his nutts?!?
He scored more points than Paul George did ij his final year of college, rebounded more than Kevin Love did in his final year of college, and assisted more than Westbrook did in his final year of college. Just those little things.

Simmons had a decent year. But he could have been more aggressive when the game was on the line. It's pretty simple. Go watch the tape of the OU game and see what he did the last 10 mins. NOTHING.

Why do you take 1 game and let it define a player forever?
BS's game is predicated on being an alpha scorer. He is a 6'10 guy that can take someone off the dribble, finish with either hand and he can facilitate the offense. He isnt and never was Kevin Durant.

Ok. I don't give a shite what Ben does in the pros. He does not play for MY team(LSU) anymore. There were times he was passive on the floor that cost us games. Sorry you can't see this.
