Clemson would never live that chicken shite down if they did that.

I don't see Dabo as one to run from a challenge. Remember, according to him, the lord is squarely on his holy self righteous side!

I would like to think that we’ve got better contractual protections in place to prevent this exact scenario from happening - especially after seeing it play out with another ACC school last year - but who knows?

There is a difference in Wake Forest and Clemson. Clemson is a perennial playoff potential team. It would make them look like absolute shite if they pulled something like that.

LSU does seem to have its schedule opened with no games committed. Hopefully they look at Saturday and realize games need to be back on campuses.

Plus, if SOS is going to be a bigger factor going forward, it doesn't benefit Clemson to cancel that game. Also, both teams will be rebuilding. Particularly at QB with having to replace multi-year starting QBs.

I do agree with that. Especially for a program that seems to value playing these big time OOC games. Presumably a move like that would make it much harder to schedule those games in the future. It was a chickenshit move by WF as well and should make other P4 programs think hard about trying to schedule home/home series with them moving forward.

So I don’t think it’s likely. I’m just saying it’s not like pandemics and conference changes are the only reasons these things can happen.

Clemson will figure out a way to get out of this game; just like Texas did.

Are we going to have another global freakout over a virus?

Probably a hurricane or something. I mean seriously, whens the last time it worked out for us. Between VA tech, Texas, Florida State, UCLA, Arizona State. No other team has had that many out of conference games rescheduled in the last 25 years

It worked out and we kicked their arse, even if it took five years for return trip.

Any chance the 9 game sec schedule nullifies this matchup? Does the 9 game conference schedule start next year? If so, I wouldn't mind losing the return game in this scenario. Hell, we got them in their place a few years after beating them in the championship game. In my opinion, no need to play Clemson to start season if indeed 9 game conference play starts next year.

Those who control the business of college football long for parity. Purists long for Saturday night in Tiger Stadium, the band playing Neck with the opponents dream taking its last breath.

SEC is also making teams play one OOC game vs P4 team. The game is happening.
