when he didn't slide into second on a steal attempt, he slid into the doghouse

This is the moment that I think Jay was soured on him. There was an audible wtf on that play. Infact it’s one of the few that stands out to me and my memory of this season. Bone. Headed.

I think he got hurt building the doghouse that they made him go live in after not sliding into second.

Caraway was exceptional at the College World Series last year. The guy only hit around .250 for the season. So yeah, he's not that good.

Was our worst pickup this portal. Probably a top five to 7 in terms of payroll on the team as well.

You mean the same reason every other transfer comes to LSU?

Also I don’t think Caraway is in the doghouse. He just isn’t any good and got replaced. The 4 freshmen in the lineup hits way better than caraway ever could.

Idk Caraway and Yorke run a close race. Simpson isn’t far behind either one of them as well

Caraway always struck me as someone who came here just to boost his draft stock.

Seems like that's a win/win when you play well.

What I meant when I said that is that his attitude doesn’t seem like someone who is completely bought in to what Jay wants to do. The other transfers I think are they’re just not producing.

He gave me the same impression as well. Just by going off his interview, body language, etc. Just a bad take. Not sure he does anything well and is a tweener. I don’t understand what scouts saw in him to make him a top prospect out of high school.

I checked out on Caraway when he walked to second base instead of sliding. I almost blew a lugnut. I think Jay felt the same way.
