re: Did he just PH Hardin for Braun?

Braun was throwing up in the outfield during that inning so he put Hardin in. No idea why Patrick wasn’t put in.

Damn I must be crazy. Brown hit 320 in SEC Last year with 6 Bombs and already had 5 bombs in SEC this year. Avg was down this year in SEC but also barreled balls up consistently right at guys. Explain your metrics please, I’d love to know your take compared to scouts

More like top 3
I’m assuming you haven’t watched much baseball this year. Before injury Brown hitting over 300 against lefties, 6 home runs against lefties, which shows a big improvement. I don’t think MLB would draft guys in top 3 rounds and not have beliefs of them making it to the Bigs. I’d love all 3 back at LSU, but I do believe, along with many scouts, that they have the tools and ability to play in the MLB
What about Brown if his draft stock pushes him to end of round 2. He could come back and still have leverage

Saw a short video on one of Browns social media page of him working out, using the hand he had surgery on. Gotta get grip strength back and pain free. I bet as soon as he can swing a bat he will be In the lineup.

Who has quit on this team?
Brown has had his right hand taped up the last few weeks. I’m assuming he’s been trying to play through the pain. Heard him talking to his parents after the Sunday game and he told them the pain is worse than ever. Great young man and Tiger. Hope the best for him.

Players don’t swing at pitches that aren’t strikes. How hard is that to understand.

How much NIL money do you think LSU baseball players are getting. I’d love to hear what you think these guys are getting. I can guarantee you’re WAY off on your numbers. LSU has won 2 recent championships due to Louisiana kids on the team that contributed big time and wasn’t focused on the NIL money. You would be surprised how little guys like Anderson, Dugas, Beloso, Guidry, Brown, Jobert, Pearson get in NIL.

I like that approach a lot. First fastball he’s seen and jumped on it. Kinda like when he hit the bomb against Vandy on 3-0 count. Nobody complained about that. He’s got the most power let him attack when he gets his pitch. Kids ran into some bad luck hitting balls square and other team making espn plays on it. Last 5 games it’s happened. Happy to see other guys stepping up when he’s not finding hits. That’s the sign of the team coming together

Brown has been pitched around all weekend. He barreled balls up consistently and has walked 6 times in 3 games and 2 stolen bases. Hit a ball yesterday 400ft and one today to the wall the LF made hell of a play. It’s not him. Just my opinion
re: What makes Curiel a better prospect than Brown?
Posted by Ballhog52 on 3/17/26 at 11:06 am to Lester Earl
Brown really has 1 error on the season. That’s the overthrow to 3rd base he made during the McNeese game. The other error he’s charged with is when a flare hit over 1st base that’s spinning to the wall, brown running full speed to get to it, slips while grabbing it. They charged him the error because the guy scored from 2nd which he would have scored anyway. Both Curiel and Brown are very good players, it just so happens that Brown took a big step forward this year. He doesn’t look clumsy in the outfield, because of his speed and breaks on the ball, he actually makes difficult plays look easy. I overheard several scouts talking in the fall saying Brown won’t be on the board after 40th pick.I'm just excited we have 3 very good athletes playing the outfield at LSU.

Curiel didn’t hit LHP good last year either. Look at his splits.
Jay missed big time in the portal this year. Caraway, Dardar, Simpson are not performing. Stats prove it. Is Pearson hurt, why hasn’t he had at bats since ULL.

You’re clearly a dumb arse
He called brown off. Very easy to see. Brown pulled up.

2025 you had Pearson, Brown and Frey all battling for playing time. When they entered the game to pinch hit, it wasn’t about their stats, it was about doing what was needed at that moment to help the team win weather it was Sac fly, grounder to right side to move a runner to 3rd, etc…That’s the mentality you need from everyone. It meant more to them for the team to win. If you want success follow that mentality those 3 guys had.
re: Watch Jay in the dugout

Maybe this team does have leaders, but it’s taking players longer to buy into the system. Jay has mentioned numerous times this teams leadership is one of the best he’s ever had. Baseball is a game you have to play with confidence and a chip on your shoulder. Failure will happen, and players need to learn how to handle it. Someone “leader” yelling and cussing to motivate a player is not what’s going to work in the dugout or behind closed doors. Leading by example is what will get the players to buy into the team philosophy. Some of these players need to learn how to adjust when shite doesn’t go their way. If they can’t adjust, next man up.Can it be corrected, sure, will it, let’s find out.
Go back before the season started. Hardin was 2-22 with 15 K’s
In the Spring Theres a reason he wasn’t playing.
