Per his IG account he committed.

The reason everyone commits even if they don’t plan on attending college is simple. If a player is committed to LSU but signs out of high school then the team that drafts the player has to put aside money, separate money from signing bonus,in a separate account to cover the players college of his choice. Great MLB rule that was put In place.
Just talked to Brown and Pearson. They both said for everyone to STFU and quit worrying about who’s playing, who’s not, who hits better against lefties or righties and just be happy they’re both on the team that’s gonna be busting their arse to bring another Natty to Baton Rouge. The last thing they said was if any of you experts wanna give them advice on how to hit off a lefty throwing 96 with 21” induced vertical rise, and a 88mph tight slider and a change-up that looks like a yo-yo coming at you, they will be happy to listen to you if you ever made it as far as they have playing this game.
Really, Jay benched Bear while hitting 300 with 14 home runs as a freshman. I’d hate to see what you think is good. Stick to your real job because you’re proving you know absolutely nothing about sports.
One example real quick dumba$$ 2023 Jared Jones benched for Beloso. 2024 Neal for Milazzo, Kling for Brown. Play the hot bat it’s simple if they can handle the position in the field
re: Have teams figured out Curiel?

He’s 4-33 since the A&M series with 2 RBI’s and bunch of K’s and very few walks. Yes teams figure hitters out and players do have slumps. My question is I’ve seen other very good players have slumps and get benched, why not Curiel. Especially when there are guys on the bench that can play that position. I get it, he’s a damn good player, but he’s not the only player we have.
The ball hit off the top of the wall. He damn near made an impossible catch. Your dumb arse probably got cut from your tee-ball team thinking that’s an easy catch. Moron.
re: What more can Jake Brown do to prove he needs to start every day?

I don’t think anyone did
All that did was solidify Brown to the Portal. This shite is stupid. Play your dudes, guys like Brown are going to go where they are everyday players for the draft. I hope he stays but don’t blame him if he leaves.
I’m at the game. Watch the 3rd base coach. Not Brown’s fault at all.
Pretty dumb arse comment.
Put John Pearson there. Kid can play 3rd base and swing it.
So you wanna play the hot bat, yet give a guy that hasn’t had a hit since opening weekend. Lets leave the coaching to the guy in the dugout.
I love Pearson in the line up. But let’s listen to what your reasons are for benching Brown and replacing him with Pearson. Browns last 6 SEC Games 6-19 with 8 RBI’s. Pearson is 3-18 with 3 RBI’s. Yes Brown missed a fly ball. I guess we should bench Milam since he couldn’t throw it to 1st base yesterday and cost us a run. Everyone makes an error.
Brown has been sitting first game of series when a lefty starts then comes off the bench as soon as a righty is on the mound. Must be nice if a slump is hitting over 300 in SEC and leading the team in RBI’s and you calling him to be benched. Damn
re: Does LSU baseball have the worst defensive outfield in the past few decades?

Not insulated at all. Just wanted to understand your take and explain mine. Im still happy Pearson made that catch against Florida, it was not an easy play. That ball was hammered. ??

So tell me what does. Brown drops a ball he lost in sun at the last second determined him to be just average, however he has elite speed that allows him to get to balls in the gap and the arm to hold hitters to singles instead of doubles. I talked to Curiel after the game about him and he said the guy gets to the ball so fast it looks easy. Just saying with Brown/Pearson Stanfield and Curiel in the outfield it’s as good as it gets. Any team would be excited with that outfield.

Brown has 2 errors in over 70 something putouts. Pearson doesn’t have more than 3 errors in 4 yesrs. What a dumb a$$ take. Everyone gets pissed when they don’t dive for balls that can cost runs like Sunday. Just FYI coaches there are times the staff tells them no layouts, keep ball in front. Learn the game!!
I’d like to see Dylan Thompson pitch tonight. He was very good in the fall and spring games. Kid throws strikes with tons of movement. Velo is 88-90 but generates weak contact and swing and miss.

Freshmen pitchers shoved. Loved seeing them staying in strike zone.

Why try and pencil anyone in as “must be in the lineup everyday” after one weekend series facing 85mph. Stan, Derek, Brown, Larson and Pearson all had good weekends. Sit back and enjoy the competition and watch the wins roll in.
