Just want to gauge where TR's expectations are.

I for one say no. It's hard to look at one-loss season and call it a failure. Two losses? Again, real tough, but I feel like this team shouldn't lose two games.

Also, this is assuming LSU does not get into the CFP. If LSU finishes 11-1 and their only loss is to the SEC West winner, it's possible they could find their way into the Top 4, but two teams from the same conference haven't made it into the CFP yet.

Better not lose Seccg to an Eastern division opponent. They haven't won since 2008.

Yes. Unless we still win the National Championship.

YES, a loss in the SECCG may keep his job, but failure to appear, and he should rightly be ousted.

Anything less than winning the West/SEC Champion is a failed season.

Are you kidding? Of course it is not a Failure. Where have you been? Mediocrity is the norm. Get drunk and let the good times roll man. Lesley will make some crazy comment, it will make ESPN, he will then get a raise and a contract extension and we will shuffle through some more assistant coaches. Failure? There is no such thing as a Failure (Flop) !!

100%.

But a lot on here will say we are "young" and 2017 is the year if it doesn't happen.

Not IMO. "IF" we go 11-1 and somehow another SECW team goes 12-0...I'd have a hard time calling this season a failure. Anything less than 10-2....Miles should not be retained. If we can't do better than 5-3 in the conference with this team...Les will never be able to get it done. Calling 10-2 a failure...I'd have to see how competitive we were in those losses.

Yes. It is no different this year. I loathe watching another SEC West team play in the 1st Saturday of December.

Lsu could win the NC, fournette win the heisman, and miles discovers a cure for cancer and people would still want him fired because he doesn't pass as much as they do on their Xbox.

No worries, we will not lose more than one game if that.

For most fans anything less than a playoff appearance is a failure this year.

Unless we lose the West on some bogus ref mishap, yes.

That's not true. If Miles can win the SEC by running every play I'll take it but we all know that in order to win in today's game balance is a must.

New Year's 6 bowl game for me. I have a deep want to be in a major bowl game for the first time in a few years. Best case, we are 15-0 when all said and done.

Suppose LSU loses to Alabama on an incredibly bad, or questionable, call by the referees, would that be a failure on LSU's, and more particularly the coaches, part?
