His contract expires next summer. The board has had multiple opportunities to extend him but has declined that option.

I would say that we're on pace to release him but I would have said the same thing about F King and they just extended him.

ADs at the Power Five level only get fired for scandal, lack of fundraising, or if multiple sports are really, really, really bad.

LSU for the most part has no scandal, makes tons of money, and most of our sports are competitive.

Jeff Long was fired, because after the Petrino scandal, the next coach was under 500 over 5 years. Plus, the boosters from Little Rock wanted him gone because they felt he was trying to end having any games at all played at War Memorial.
