Now with all the betting sites, you must wonder if some of these players are getting on games.

Well … betting on AL does make this make sense.

I can’t come up with any OTHER reasonable explanation for a 4-star safety in the SEC to tackle like THAT.

I’d really like to hear any other explanation.

If we all see this on TV, coaches HAVE to see it on the field, or during film study. How do they tolerate this?

This sucks man.

They're all soft. There's no leader on the team.

Les Miles has lost control of the defense and the team has quit on Kelly, business decisions and so forth

Burns is considered the leader on defense

Big hits were everything. You said it perfectly, as this scenario would have most chomping at the bits. Some of these kids just want interceptions I guess. If that's all you want to do, be a WR…

I miss the days we had those DOGs at safety. A Delpit or an Adams would have split his arse

With all this film I’m starting to think we got paid off.

Seen multiple obvious misses by our players that makes no sense to not engage.

Odd

Chad Jones would have knocked himself out to knock him out.

Sage was the best DB in the state coming out of HS. Gilbert was #2

This board will say that we Louisiana pumps out talent every year, while complaining that this defense, which includes 4th year veteran players which were the top ranked in the state, doesn’t have enough talent. But that’s besides the point. This is maybe the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen from a player in a LSU uniform

The sad thing is he did this on multiple plays. There was one where he was running with a receiver on a crossing route. Receiver caught the ball. Burns was like 2 feet behind/downfield. Not only did Burns fail to make the tackle, he never even went to the ground. Not 2 yards away, 2 fricking feet.

And he didn’t get outrun, because somehow he wound up running around the receiver’s back to the opposite side and standing up in front of him while Gilbert made the tackle.

Burns’ effort in (at least) the second half was absolutely fricking pathetic. I’m not one who is usually calling for guys to get benched, but he needs to sit the frick down the rest of the year.

Same.

I'm done with Ryan and Burns, at worst, I'm ready to watch other players suck.
