Whichever team can create big plays, (offensively, ST, turnovers, anything ), will win. I don’t see either Offense driving the length of the field consistently with methodical drives.

Good post and I think you've held up well against the onslaught of the rant's 12 yr olds.

I do think you'll get sick of seeing #4 in your backfield all night. A potential nightmare for any O Line. Best LB & CB in the country would have me concerned as well. Burrow.....we shall see.

Will be a great opener. Needs to get here in a hurry!!!

You better hope those 24 points come off turnovers. This LSU D is no joke. 2 players in preseason top 10 NFL draft.

Y’all are severely underestimating Miami’s defense. They are returning a lot of players who have plenty of experience and they get after the passer better than anyone in the country, it’s a very disruptive defense. Don’t be spooked at Miami offense, it’s loaded and you will see that on Sunday but I digress

But Rosier is a gamer, he loves the spotlight, its almost odd that I trust him more in this game than I do against, idk, say a BC later in the year.

Basically he was really good against weak defenses. Against really good d's, he chokes. You say he is a gamer, i say when he goes against top notch d's, he folds and chokes.

He is a 55% passer. From high school to college. I would assume the scouting report is he chokes under pressure and folds. Everyone is saying he is improved but i doubt that. Once a 55% completion passer, always a 55% completion passer.

It is kinda like a basketball player that cant shoot freethrows. They will always not be able to shoot freethrows. Same with QB's and accuracy.

Two great defenses, it will come down to which QB performs better. I am going to go with intelligent accurate QB (his MO) vs Cant hit the side of the barn when pressured Rosier.

We even had a common opponent last year, ND, you lost to them, and we beat them 41-8.

We also beat Auburn who beat Alabama (their only loss of the year). Bama destroyed clemson who destroyed you............Transitive wins. Gotta love them

Thing is y’all are replacing like all but 4 starters on defense. Yes y’all are very talented on defense but that doesn’t mean Miami’s isn’t very talented on defense either and The U’s defense overall have more experience and production. I actually Think both defense’s have the edge against the 2 offenses but Miami has an even bigger edge when it’s on defense compared to when LSU’s on defense imo

The one that threw 17 picks last year?

As LSU fans, do you know how many times we sold ourselves the same BS you’re buying into about Rosier being improved? We always heard JJ or BH were much improved and then reality hits

Actually he didn’t play against that many weak defenses and made plays in every single game outside of the last 2. Va tech had the 12 defense in the country last year and he had over 200 yards passing 85 yards rushing 3 tds.
List of defenses rosier played against

And he doesn’t choke under pressure I dont know where you get that from. Made several Comeback wins and I’m not sure we win those games if it wasn’t because of him. Leading 2 tds scoring drives vs Georgia tech late in the 4th (by the way Miami was without 5 Starters in that game)in a monsoon basically it was pouring at the stadium. 2 late scoring tds vs FSU and finished the game hot vs an elite FSU defense that had 3 5 stars in the secondary 3 more other ones in the front 7 And he did it WITHOUT our star receiver Ahmmon Richards and starting running back mark Walton on the field in the 4th quarter. Also came back va uva too late in the season. Folding under pressure is not what Rosier does period. He finished the season bad but really the whole team did not just him

Plus you got to see what he does with a full allotment of receivers as Ahmmon Richards who is an elite wide receiver was not healthy at all last year even in the 7 games he played. He makes the offense that much more dynamic.

Rosier still put up 3200 yards passing 26 tds 14 ints 470 rushing yards 5 rushing tds while not having his number 1 receiver healthy, #1 running back out for the season and also being a first year starter. Should be interesting what he does with this years offensive weapons.

Ensminger hasn't been in this role for 20 years. I'd consider him a downgrade to Matt Canada, granted the offense had its fair share of struggles last year.

How do you see him approaching this game? I was reading about the expectation of more of a spread concept with 4 and 5 WR sets.

Slinger will use the short to intermediate passing game to have Burrow get rid of the ball quick that will negate all of the strengths of Miami's d. That would be sacks, pressures, turnovers, hurries, etc. Short to intermediate passing game getting rid of the ball quick makes that ALL go away. That is the kryptonite for Miami's D.
