Still holds the program record for wins and still sits at #2 alltime in every major passing category. You never saw him play so you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Correct. Should be mentioned he's the only in this discussion who left early. Imagine his numbers had he played in '07.

Jamarcus had tremendous talent and is up there but his decision making wasn’t all that great.

Utter bullshite. Before burrow his 2006 was the record for compl%.and he had a qb rating of 167. Dont let facts get in the way of your opinions

Other than Joey B, what other LSU QBs can claim to be the best QB in CFB in a year?

Jamarcus is on that list. He was the best QB in 2006.

Rohan, Mauck, Flynn, Hodson? Not on that list.

I can't speak for the old timers. I didn't really follow LSU (or CFB) until I decided I was slumming it at the in-state school in 2001

love Jamarcus but he def wasn’t the smartest and would try and force things that weren’t there.

No he didnt. 67.8 completion % (#2 alltime at lsu) in 2006. Before burrow 2006 was the gold standard at lsu.

Kind of becomes crazier when you look at his ypa with that completion rate.

Replace Hodson with Flynn and Jones with Mauck. Can’t leave out 2 qbs who won nattys for us in the top 5

Your post header is wrong...100% of fans know Burrow is the best QB

There isn't a single elderly fan on this site in a state of amnesia that would vote otherwise.

This thread is becoming comedic now.

Burrow
Jones
Hodson
Russell
Davey

Flynn
Mauck
Tyler
Mettenberger

No debate

Stats are not on the top of my list when I look at this. Stats can be deceiving and it’s a very subjective topic to begin with. I just feel like Rohan was more dedicated, more of a winner, a born leader, more gutsy, and ultimately had a better NFL career. Unless you are running nothing but fly routes with 4.3 receivers, I’m taking Rohan in the foxhole with me all day, every day.

was by far the 2nd best I have ever seen. Matt Flynn was a better QB than JR.

What in the hell?

You know they were on the same team for 3 years, right?

OP list is perfect. JR was the best until Burrow. Godson after that. I’d go either way on Jones and Dave’s after that.

Davey didn’t look good until 2001 though.

Not a strong point considering we all agree that Burrow was the GOAT based on one season

JR won more, so how was Rohan "more of a winner"? Look at their W/L over years. Rohan never led a team as good as 2006 LSU.

JR led the team to multiple comeback victories with Les's dumbass as coach. How was he not gutsy?

I'm not trying to hate on Rohan but he's not in the same galaxy as JR as QB at LSU.
