No teamwork

We have no legit center. We are small. We have five guards that all want to take off when the other team shoots.

They watch the game like guards usually do so they can see where the fast break is going to go.

It’s the head coaches job to fix that. No excuses. Go recruit a guy who is massive and knows how to rebound. He doesn’t have to even score, just block and rebound

Since he got to LSU, only one player in his entire tenure here, has averaged more than 7 rebounds a game. Only one. Never had anyone come close to double digit boards

If you are watching the game, that last play shows you everything

8 seconds left in a tie game, on the road, against Ole Miss…one guy reaches out for it, can’t grab it, 3 guys watch while 3 ole Miss guys DOVE for it

It’s effort

It’s pride

It’s coaching

He is responsible for the environment and culture

Injuries to their best players each year does not help.

Could it be the injuries have taken key players out? Imagine if we still had Reid and Thomas was healthy all year.

no top 10 players. We need at least 1. A bunch of top 100s won't cut it in the SEC anymore. Get a NIL budget and go get Acuff or a Boozer.

Our avg margain of defeat in the SEC is 9.8

So losing every game by an average of double digits isnt getting blown out to you?

I saw the end and both ots. I see a LOT of non hustle on the defensive side. Other teams get to more balls than we do.
McKinnon had a great night, but it seems our philosophy is hoping he wins a 1 on 1 battle, which wont happen against better teams.

All things are apparent when you retrain your mind to remembering how bad Ole Miss is

Wasting what McKinnon’s done this year is sad. McMahon has had some really good individual seasons from players but can’t seem to construct a winner around them.

Yep, and I was wrong about McKinnon, thought he would have been more of a role player. He has been the best player on the team by far.

Hang his jersey up there with KJ ,Cam Carter, Blakeny and Taz. "Great years on Bad teams"

There was some inconsistent play from him early but once he figured out the speed and how to get to his spots he’s been great. He’s gotten better as the competition has gotten tougher.

Lol it's pretty easy to skew that if you get blown out of one or two games

I have always felt that way. Not enough NIL and injuries. Ok They are not all Americans but it hurts. What is going to happen on this site if a couple of quarterbacks go down and it affects the football team and record.

Reed was our best post player. Nwoko has been really good, but he is a fouling machine, and he can't shoot from the outside. He is undisciplined. Miller has moments, but he is soft. Reed is not super tough, but he was overall the best post man, and he is a good outside shooter, which opens up the post for others. He may not be a great player, but he was important to this team, especially for matching up against some of the bigger and tougher post players.

Nwoko is better than Reed without question

The basic problem with the BB program is the failure of the institution to defend the coach that was fired and the sanctions that the NCAA applied to further gut the program and the obvious failure of good players and coaches to go to a program that throws employees under the bus.

Nwoko is only better than Reed in some ways, but it isn't without question. I'll concede that Nwoko is slightly better, because he is tougher, blocks slightly more shots and commits slightly fewer turnovers, but Reed rebounds better and scores at the same rate, and can open up the middle due his outside shot. They both have an eFG% of 0.61. Reed rebounds 12.6 per 40 min, to Nwoko's 10.8 per 40. Reed shoots over 40% from 3, and Nwoko can't shoot from beyond 10 feet. Nwoko is slightly better close to the basket, since Nwoko is 0.624 from 2, while Reed is 0.607. The big difference is that after Reed's freshman year, he has averaged less than 4 fouls per 40 minutes while Nwoko has gotten worse each year and this year he fouls 6.4 times per 40. So I think they are comparable, but Reed is much more likely to be available for an entire game. In addition, with Nwoko's propensity to foul, it makes it even more important to have another player of comparable ability to fill in, which is why he is important to this team.

3. Is his system too basic and easy to defend?

Has to be this, we play bad defenses, not just for the SEC but nationally, and we're struggling to find high-percentage shots on the reg

- Skill and athleticism wise Nwoko is better

- production wise Nwoko is better

- availability wise Nwoko is better. (I know you want to ignore Reed’s injuries but I’m not going to)

Skill and athleticism doesn't always translate to production. Nwoko is more athletic, but I gave the production stats, and they're pretty even, so I think they offer different skills. If we're comparing who is better, of course the comparison is when healthy, because the point was to assess the impact of losing Reed to the team.
