Hiring from within after a year like this is hands down the best decision. Why risk bringing in anyone else that wants to change what doesn't need changing?

-JM knows our players
-Burrow himself credits JM for development
-JM knows the system
-Coach O gets along with JM
-Sends a message to coaches that LSU rewards those for doing a good job here

I could go on and on, but those are some of the key points. Munoz is the clear choice to join Ensminger in the booth and take over OC when CEO says the time is right.

It's time to stop running to other teams for coaches. We're the standard now. Let them come to us.

At this point we had a great system in place. The best thing to do is keep as many guys as we can in house and promote from within. Also continue stockpiling offensive analysts who can add value.

I agree. My hope all along was that whenever Brady leaves, I hope our guys on staff have thoroughly learned this offense and can be promoted.

I don't want an outsider, with an ego, trying to do his own thing. And I'm not expecting to see THIS kind of offensive success for a long time, and maybe never again, simply because I don't know that college football will ever see another QB like Joe Burrow. But with this offense system, with a competent QB, we should field top ten offenses, annually, with the talent we have.

After seeing the way Burrow credits him for his development I’m sold. The system is in and Slinger can call the plays.

Helped with the playbook development. I think he’d be good but I want the best guy. Maybe Munoz gets to be a positional coach or passing game coordinator?

The length that Ensminger went on about the guy had me drooling

Just slide him into Brady's spot and allow him to prove himself. Simple fix. Then go hire more analysts. O won't let us down.

And even having him down on the field during games isnt a bad idea either. He and Orgeron were joined at the hip this season. But I agree, he has to be pretty high on the list of options right now.

Yeah I don’t think as much will change if we keep the staff we have.

I'm always on the "hire a proven guy" bus, but I'm in on giving Munoz a shot.

I have zero desire to bring someone in to change the scheme even one iota.

Leave as is and adapt from brennan.

It needs to happen fast to show stability and confidence that he has the situation under control vs being caught off guard

Because the reason Brady was so good was because he was innovative. Simply hiring someone with continuity to run his offense will only get you so far. Once your weakness gets exposed or teams recruit to stop that offense you need someone who will innovate and create. Munoz doesn’t seem like this to me.

I don’t want someone coming in and running someone else’s system.

Supposedly Munoz is the one who broke down film on defense, then Brady proceeded to create a plan to attack.

Okay so we have someone who can break down film... who is going to make the attack plan....

He identified the weaknesses in a defense/player. Im sure he can figure out how to get the offense to take advantage. Plus, Ensminger got some extra training too. I just want some continuity for Brennan. Munoz is also credited by Burrow himself for helping his development.
