I'm not buying the "we can't compete with NIL". Many schools with average NIL are winning.

We have a long history of losing commits on before signing day for one reason or another. We have the most fertile high school prospects in the country and not all of them are looking for a quick payday.

Look at baseball, many players forego huge contracts for a great college experience. Truth is, failing to win enough games to be preceived as competitive cost us a few elite players this year. Fortunately, we were able to flip a couple our way too.

If we can afford elite coaching salaries, we can compete in the NIL era.

Ive been saying this for the longest. We might not have the money Texas has, but we are not poor by any means. We have to have the want to spend the money.

Travel ball families are privileged, majority of football families need money to fund unc’s business ventures.

Like who? Who’s winning the most and what have they won? What programs?

I only know of 2. Oregon and Texas. Who else has been completely successful with NIL and their investments turn into championships?

Be specific. Names of players and what they’re being paid.

We’ve finished above A&M in class rankings every year since they bought their #1 class in 2022.
Stealing players like Perkins, Echols, & McKinley from them too

Either you’re broke and can’t afford 10 dollars a month to help buy players or you don’t want to win.

We can compete. We just can’t compete in bidding wars with certain schools whose boosters have unlimited check books.

We have to be much more strategic with our NIL money. We aren’t able to drop 4 mil a year on a QB without it hurting us in other areas.

I’m not giving Baylor 10 cents a month, let alone 10 dollars, but do as you will.

We got a top 8 class this year. But that #8 ranking is actually deceptive. If you go by average player rankings we have the #5 class. And the difference between Texas's #1 class and LSU's #8 class is only 1.4 pts. For the previous 5 years, the average gap between the #1 class and #2 class has been 0.7 pts. For the same 5 year period the gap between the #1 and #3 class was 1.62 pts. Over those last 5 years, LSU's recruiting class has averaged 3.2 pts from being the #1 class. That includes LSU last 5 classes which ranked #4, #4, #12, #5, and #7.

This is a very good class, its up there with any top 5 class LSU has ever gotten.

People complaining about not having the #1 recruiting class need to step up and sign up with bayou traditions.

We are ,at best 4th,and might be 5th behind Georgia.
California, texas,Florida, without question, produce more and better talent.

Now I will say we are the only major program in a state that is one of the best at producing talent.

I love and miss Dava Aranda too, but not that much to help the Bears.

Depends on how huge and they are different sports. Great money experience will beat a great college experience any day. No parent is going to tell their kid “ahhh but think of all the cool frat parties”

We can compete to an extent.
