LSU has money, but doesn’t have the money to blindly toss an extra $750k-$1m at players. They have to be smart on where to commit the money. There aren’t many programs that can. Underwood is an outlier because his deal was solely funded by Ellison.
I expect LSU to bring in 1-2 big players in the portal that weren’t outcasts from their previous team.

Phillips went to Texas; Stewart went to L.A; Bryce Underwood to Oracle and Barstool Sports. We're not competing against UCF or UTSA for football players.
