Yup, so could Troy. After not scoring a single point at home against Bama when horrible teams did, I’m not sure how you can be 100% confident. It’s sorta delusional imo.

So you're saying that Arkansas who absolutely SUCKS might beat us because we had a bad game against a team that might possibly go down as the greatest football team ever? And I'M delusional? nah man. Tigers by 30

Sure, my pleasure. I've been harping on this. I've been displeased all season long with Ensminger's play-calling, especially in the red zone. And Ensminger does not know how to adjust based on different things the defense is doing. Ensminger has not developed any good bubble screens to help take pressure off our o-linemen and QB, very few quick slants, etc. He refuses to do o-line shifts, which would also help get opponents' d-line a little off balance. I am fed up with Ensminger.

Of course this crossed my mind, then I realized what I already knew, this is the foundation of a Championship team, if not this year in the CFP, then the next.

Are we gonna throw some magic beans down and grow some offensive lineman?

So as a realist you think that LSU is going to lose to 2-7 Arkansas, Rice or 5-4 A&M?

That's not realistic. That's being soft.

With all due respect 5-4 A&M is a little misleading.

Two of those losses were by 24 to points combined to the current #1 and #2 teams.

In no scenario do I see Arkansas beating LSU this season. They are really bad. This isn’t Bobby Petrino’s Razorbacks we’re playing.

A&M will be a test because they want to end their losing streak to us as bad as we want to end ours with Bama. We will have to be focused on the prize for that game.

An expression noone should ever have the boldness to use: "I'm almost willing to bet".

Logic: We are due to beat Bama.

See how that works?

You might want to be concerned that A&M is #2 in the nation in rushing defense. Alabama is #17 in YPC (5.46) and averaged 3.89. Clemson is #1 in YPC (6.94) and averaged 3.59.

Yes. We are due to beat Bama. It’s going to happen again eventually. A&M hasn’t beaten us in 23 years. The odds are a little more in their favor. They are eventually going to beat us. Nobody knows when, but it will happen eventually.

OK, I get all this, no problem, but what you said was that the Tigers were going to have a specifically difficult time against A&M because of what specifically,---- like their Defense or in other words it is not their Offense we need to be concerned about?

Oh that’s brilliant. LSU can lose this time simply because LSU has beat them 7 straight times. That logic panned out last week

That’s great. That means we’re past due to beat Bama. More reason to hope for a rematch in the playoffs.

Why do people feel the need to start threads like this? If this is what you think, fine. But, why do you need to post about it. Do you need some kind of validation? I just don't get it.

I agree.

Though losing to Arkansas would be especially embarrassing this year.

I won't be surprised at all if we lose to Aggy. They are certainly capable.

Same. I hope the team plays it's arse off for Coach O and finishes strong. Big win in a nice bowl game like the Sugar Bowl. So long as Alleva doesn't give Coach O a Gus type contract, that is. You gotta beat Bama at least once to get that type of money.

Agreed. It is not a crazy idea at all to suggest we could lose to either Arky or aTm. Frankly I wouldn’t be shocked at all if we lost both. I Idon’t think that will happen though.

What do you think the point of this forum is?

To have conversations.

If you don't want to be part of the conversation, exit the thread and go participate in a thread that interests you or start your own.

“LSU loses at least 1”

Both SEC programs we face are in a real and Serious rebuilding mode. They didn’t fire winning coaches. They fired losing coaches.

Both games should be walk over games for us on the way to 10 wins.
