If Anthony Richardson can be a top 10 pick, then Nuss should be a 1st round pick easily. I don't think Nuss stays at LSU.

Nuss is likely a 2nd or 3rd round pick. It's all about the $. He is likely getting advised on the NFL numbers compared to a NIL number.

Yes, it would seem that with NIL money it makes it much easier to stay in school be assured to be the starter and the star the set records and increase your draft status while getting paid like I think it’s an easy decision unless you are being told you are 100% a first rounder

I think Nuss needs another year to sharpen his quarterbacking skills, but maybe I’m being biased because I want him to come back

If he doesn’t, we’re kind of screwed for next season

I think it's pretty clear that it goes.

1. Cam Ward
2. Shadur (sp?) Sanders
3. Quinn Ewers

Now that Beck is hurt it leaves some room for some other guys to climb. I still think it would be best for him to come back and get those 13 plus starts. Go out and get a left tackle for him to come back.

JD5 announced he was coming back like 3 days before Christmas in 22, hopefully we get Nuss’ decision in these next 2 weeks.

That would be foolish on his part. He doesn't have an NFL body yet and his feet are too slow. He needs to work on quickness and running and avoiding the pass rush.

Yeah I wasn't the biggest Nuss fan last year but he's by far our best option. Kelly will need to pull some serious portal magic at QB next year or we will be really bad

What are yall thinking?
If Nuss opts for the NFL, the NIL money budgeted by LSU for him in 2025 will probably be enough to acquire a QB out of the portal.

Well, he must do what he thinks in his best interest. Cannot be upset about that. Maybe from a developmental perspective it makes little sense to remain at LSU.

NFL teams have shown they are taking QBs just because they’re bad.
i don’t think 0 QBs would be taken in the first but Nuss isn’t going in the first round just because it’s a weaker class.

2022 only Pickett got drafters and that was 20th.

VERY weak QB draft class this year, weakest I can remember in a long time, probably has him weighing options. I think he wants to come back to LSU, but the possibility of sneaking into the late first/early second round has to be considered. He's not elite, but there is some arm talent there and he should get an NFL opportunity somewhere.

Dude. If he goes he goes. We should be like any other team that has a back up ready to go (See Georgia). So ridiculous that LSU is a one trick pony at QB

LSU has a lot of snowflake fans with a HC and team to match.

third best QB prospect

So your saying it's THAT bad of a class.
Who does he comp to? He has a cannon, and although he is ready defenses better, I just don't see it.
Only positive for him is that it is a weak QB class.

Per PFF:

66. QB Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
Strengths:
• Adequate NFL arm strength
• Has an eye for the deep pass; fearless to take big shots
• Natural passer who can deliver passes with zip and accuracy even without a throwing platform

Weaknesses:
• Lack of experience shows up in being late to reads
• Too comfortable retreating to avoid pressure
• Too loose with his lower body mechanics

He should go pro. Why stay at a school where the fan base boos you and dogs you week in and week out.

He was drafted 12th overall by one of the game’s most respected QB gurus. Just because this board thinks someone sucks, doesn’t mean said person does.

very accurate break down. Id say his game is comparable to Farve. Current NFL QB’s i think sam darnold
