If he did at at LSU what he did against Georgia Tech in 2023, this board would’ve been one to remember. People would’ve died.

He also nearly cost his team the ND game this year with end of game decision making.

I mean Taggart went 7-6, then Cristobal went 9-4, 12-2, 4-3, 10-4. He didn't really elevate the program like Lanning has.

They were 11-14 over two seasons before he took over. Agreed that he couldn't accomplish what Lanning has done and him leaving Oregon when he did was weird.

It took him 3 years to win 10 games.

They had won 10 games once in the 20 previous years. That was a very toxic program he took over. Hell, it still is. Which it makes it more shocking they have done it in back to back years now.

He's directly cost his team multiple games.

I'm not saying the dude is an elite in game coach, but he has turned around two separate programs now, and even if he did it with more talent than anyone else, isn't that the name of the game in the portal era?

Fair points.

I just think he's extremely overrated and constantly underperforms with the talent around him.

I had the same opinion going into the playoffs. Im more shocked at their two playoff wins than anything. The fact he lets Michael Irvin on the sideline with an 8 ball in each pocket, is at best, a lapse in judgement.

This fanbase would’ve wanted him fired with his clock management decisions last year that costs them a playoff spot.

They’ve won in spite of Cristobal. He can recruit but I wouldn’t want him as the head coach of LSU.

Physicality is in. Defense and line play over Xbox athletes. Lower scoring games, dominant lines.

Never said I wanted him as our coach. I'm glad Lane is out coach. I just said I admired how he has placed an emphasis on building up both sides of the LOS.

Give Lane a year or two. He is a better coach than Cristobal.

and you are basing it off of one game...as usual with you overreacting. Maybe, just maybe, Ohio State was WAY overrated. Texas, in their first game of the year, when they had zero offense and not a good team, went to Columbus and outgained them....Texas lost 14-7 but they literally outplayed them on the road...and Texas was bad then. Then, Indiana held Ohio State to 10 points. That was the only two good defenses that Ohio played against this year, until Miami. It was pretty much the same with Miami. If he had done such a great job, how does Miami lose to SMU and Louisville?

I agree they look solid. I knew what they were capable of after seeing what they did to A&M last week.

Part of what we saw though was the fact that teams that have been off for a month have yet to beat a team that played in the first round. OSU came out exactly like I expected and didn’t score a single point in the first half. Made some decent coin on Miami money line last night

When did beating OSU become such a big deal? OSU is almost as over rated as Oregon!
