Bianco got hot late in the season through the postseason. He's currently back to being his normal self and striking out or flying out. He's just not good at the plate.

Totally agree. If Gio is batting 290 or higher he is a huge asset to this team! His defense in the outfield will improve as he plays more and gets reacquainted not to mention the pressure he can put on teams with his sheens on the base path. Great to have his average and speed on the back end of the lineup.

yeah, even when he popped it up, he was just missing driving the ball. He hit the ball hard all weekend, and he swung much more confidently in all of his at bats. Was really encouraging to see.

Gio hit 275 as a freshman. He hit nearly 300 vs SEC last year. There’s been a progression there. You can’t say that for Bianco.
