All I'm asking from Chavis is to scrap the "prevent defense" everytime the other team goes into their 2 minute drill.

first of all we didn't run a prevent that drive. prevent is a specific formation, but most just assume any time a team drives down the field its a prevent but its not.

but more importantly, Saban was talking about the TD play. A CB moved to the line, indicating a blitz, they called a screen pass which is perfect to defeated a blitz.

Alabama ran 52 plays

And Alabama is damn good. That was Chavis' biggest mistake of the year by far but our defense keeps us in games 9 times out 10 while the offense produces nothing. Also, its not like previous games don't take their toll when you get far into a season. The offense has to figure out a way to stay on the field and give the D a rest.

Buddy, the lead was pretty much lost at that point. They were already in easy field goal range with a minute left. The debate had already been shifted from "Can Bama send this to OT or will LSU win" to "Is this going to OT or will Bama win outright."

LSU lost the game because Bama scored a TD. If LSU doesn't blitz/get the blitz call wrong and gets in a prevent, I doubt Bama scores a TD on that drive.

LSU wasn't in a prevent on that drive. They sent an extra rusher on 3 plays. The dbs were giving to big of a cushion and allowing the WRs to go out of bounds. That's on the db coach.

He'll be a CB next year, but he was playing nickel, I think.

is it? or is it part of the DC's scheme? we've had complaints of playing too loose in the secondary even before Raymond got here.

We win ball games despite Miles, not because of Miles, on pure talent and shitty schemes

This is impossible considering every player is at LSU because of Miles.

We win bal games because of miles, we lose because of miles.

You cant sit here and say the only reason LSU loses is because of Les Miles, then say he isnt the reason we win.

Thats one of the most idiotic statements the miles haters make.

He just tells our studs:

Don't listen to them... listen to the experts on this board who claim the problem is our players who can't seem to develop under our coaching staff. It's their fault. They can't seem to execute a scheme that everyone in the stadium knows is running. It's all their fault and not the coaching.

I mean seriously... they're right. It's clearly the players. Because every year they tell us it's the players. I mean the players change every year and the coaching staff stays the same but it's the players.

Let's make sure we point the finger at the right players. It's always the offense. Specifically, the quarter backs. No matter how many we try, they don't seem to learn or know what they are doing.

Too bad some people are too stubborn to look at truth. Because if some people would hear the truth in both these statements, maybe then somebody somewhere might decide it really is time to get out of the stubborn as hell closet and hire an OC. And also drop that totally ineffective soft-prevent defense at crucial points in the game.

Please see the Saints Niners game last year if you don't believe in prevent stupid.

Do you really think Chip Kelly, Brian Kelly, Urban Meyer or hell Hudspeth from ULL could do as well?

This is why our fans are dumber than the rest...
Chip Kelly get's awesome talent... see last years opener to see which coach does more with what they have.
Brian Kelly, at halftime last night when asked what needed to happen in the second half for his team to win, he said "if Alabama doesnt come out the second half." We were a little over a minute from beating Alabama this year.
Hudspeth...shut up stupid!
And Urban, they always had similar if not better recruiting classes than us. I think Les split down the middle with him. But, he is a great coach.
In fact, in Saban's Span at Bama, guess what coach is second to him in w/l, by one game?
Are fans are turning into butthurt losers...

When attendance, fan interest, and enthusiasm, along with ticket sales drop, then they will get it.

Go back and watch the game Bama scored tds before half and the end of the game. Saban said something like "we had a pretty good idea what looks we would get in 2 minute, and that's what they played". Saban wasn't being a dick, it was just matter of fact.

Those are the things needed for a coaching change. Until then, all your bitching is a waste of everyone's time.
