Man, did we shite the bed in '06. It was a tough schedule but we had the most talent in the SEC that year. We win either that Auburn game or the UF game and we win the NC that year. I'm still pissed about that year.

Funny how everyone holds the 1/9 game against the 2011 team but completely glosses over the 23-10 UF game for 06.

2011 team would have beaten every single team on that list. It destroyed every single team it played except for one who it went 1-1 against. 2003 blew it at home scoring no offensive points vs a true freshman qbd Ron Zook team.

09 was a decent team, offense and d progressed from 08, well offense was just to not turn the ball over. What could have been with a pp int or a offense pass interference on UF.

02 was one of our worst offenses, if not the worst, fielded after mauck went down.

2003 would have won in a low scoring game. The 2003 defense would have taken a dump on the 2011 offense. The 2003 o line and running game would have mustered enough to win.

Except for against a craptastic Ron Zook coached UF team.

That game was the fluke of the century.

Also I'm assuming 2003 would play 2011 in a national championship type game and 2003 has a distinct coaching advantage.

I saw this thread and immediately thought about 2006. I'm glad so many people regard them as highly as I do. The fact that so many posters say Flynn>JaMarcus is comical. Flynn lucked into a National Championship. JR quarterbacked an unbelievable LSU team.

Well I may agree a lil, Miles has beat saban, and beat one of bamas best teams of all time.

But Saban @ LSU< Saban @ Bama. i mean the record speaks for itself.

So no, 03 doesnt have a coaching advantage. Same coaching staff shat the bed in 02 and 04.

How many head coaches do you see on the 2011 staff?

it doesn't matter, they were not the same coaches they are now. Saban improved a ton after LSU, but to 03 staff=11

Saban=Miles
Jimbo>Stud

2011 undeafeated reg season and seccg champ beat 8 ranked teams and eventual BS *nc arguably the toughest schedule any team ever played. Were at a huge disadvantage by having to get up to play bama for the second time,had the ,what do we have to do, already beat the crimson slime in the so called game of the century, and that wasn't enough,mentalaty. I put this team # 1 because they also did this without a QB. Actually 03 NC ,06 and 07 (beat 7 ranked teams and won NC),may have been better

LSU beat every single ranked opponent they played except Alabama by 10 or more points. With the hardest freaking schedule in the universe. You can't tell me that the team didn't have this or that in that place or certain parts didn't mesh together. Truth is, that 2011 team, if Alabama hadnt also fielded one of the best teams in the history of college football that same year as well, was loaded and would have beaten any LSU team regardless. JMO.
