I always ignore these calls from LSU foundation asking for donations. I am inclined now and I encourage everyone else to answer and refuse donations until Alleva and F King Alexander are removed from their positions. They track calls and reasons for not donating.

That is all.

That's not petty, that is sending a message. I feel that way, I will not be donating a penny until those two are gone.

Why? When a group or organization is failing at their job, and asking for money, why should you donate? You send a message by hitting them where it hurts. In their wallets.

It's irresponsible to subsidize failure.

I am afraid this is the only way to get him out is by not donating. once the money dries up he will be gone.

Now, don't be an a-hole to the students making the calls. Be polite about it, but make sure they understand why you are not giving.

I just got email about upgrading FB from TAF. I replied that I’m not giving any more money until the admin is gone

It would be awesome to know how much your "annual contributions" would affect LSU.

The endowment and the foundation that runs it has nothing to do with the athletic department. But whatevs.

just curious how doing the only thing that can cause a change would be considered petty? This is what you are supposed to do when you want to see changes. Hit their pockets.

Don’t underestimate the importance of small annual gifts. The number of gifts is important as well, not just the size.

One of the factors that comes into play in the vaunted rankings of universities... is the percentage of alumni who give to the institution. If you think that ranking doesn’t matter to the highest levels at LSU, you’re crazy.

King has had enough issues on the academic side to warrant his dismissal. I think people should contribute to the LSU Foundation so that when the day comes and King is shown the door, the opening would be a little more attractive to candidates. Hurting the growth of the already small endowment will not help in the long term.

I'm never an a-hole to anyone on the phone, unless they are just really rude to me. But I would make it clear to anyone who attempts to get anything out of me, where I stand.

Well, if they didn't care, they wouldn't be calling him, would they? Small donors collectively make a big difference, for a variety of reasons.
