There is more to it than just that issue. Kim has made enemies everywhere because she speaks out and rubs folks the wrong way with her courtside antics. The woman is a great coach but her competitive nature has made her very unlikeable to many in the sport and media.

My ex played at Loyola and was the Captain her freshman year. I would probably say 75% to 80% of the girls on the team were gay.

She refuses to comment on it and won’t openly say how great being gay is so they hate her. It should be that way. Coaches shouldn’t comment on it. That’s what they hate her.

I love it. Mulkey is already a great motivator and now seeing her team get disrespected with its seeding, she's going to have those girls laser focused and pissed off that they are going to destroy every team that crosses their path!

The hate is jealousy. They envy her success and ability to always speak her mind. Funny, I can't think of anything that she has ever said that made me think "now I disagree with that".
But one thing I do know about her - - she really doesn't give a frick - especially with the national media. She is the most loyal person you will ever meet.

And her stance on Covid, wearing mask, and no comment on the The Country hating Mangirl being traded for a Russian arms dealing spy. The Media is liberal and Mulkey is not. On the other hand they prop up Dawn “race baiter” Stanley in fear of backlash from said media.

It’s not 1950. I don’t think there are many parents at all who give a shite about the sexual orientation as their kids’ teammates. I was in college 18 years ago and one of the first things people joked about was that the women basketball and softball players were all butch lesbians. I don’t think the parents would at all be surprised, nor would they care. Not everyone lives in the basement at Westboro Baptist.

The refs obviously didn’t get the memo last year when we won it all. I guarantee all of those refs that allowed us to win it all got fired because the Mulkey hate is real and if you don’t believe it you’re delusional.
