damn no Beloso. he crushed their lefties, but jones also dominated their pitching.
i really want to see crews and white b2b and maybe travinski following. the only way i can get all my preferred bats would be to catch travinski. i guess that's not going to happen? and i do expect crews will stay leading off.

I want to roll with this, but Dugas isn't the same since returning from injury. Also, I'd play Jobert over Pearson.
This is probably what I would roll with.
Dugas (2B)
Morgan (LF)
Crews (CF)
White (3B)
Travinski (C)
Beloso (DH)
Jared Jones (1B)
Jobert (RF)
Thompson (SS)

For Tulane it probably doesn’t matter, but for OSU/SHSU and especially if we play Kentucky… an outfield with Morgan and Jobert is terrifying.
The PTSD over Jobert costing us the sweep would strongly tempt me to go all defense with Pearson and Stevenson/Kling as the corner OF.

This should be the starters from this point on. It gives him his best chance of winning. Hate it for Jared Jones, but he's almost become an automatic out.

Stevenson isn’t starting a game in the outfield. I can guarantee you that

Johnson sat Beloso vs ARK in the SECT knowing they'd throw a lefty.
Pearson/Jobert went 0-8 w/ 5Ks. So I think one of them losses their privilege of starting vs LHP. Likely Pearson, because I think Jobert is a mainstay at this point.
on top of that, Jared Jones hit .347(9hrs) vs OOC pitching. I dont think they will hesitate to go to the matchup if neeeded.

anyone know where the splits can be accessed for LSU hitters?

What's the forum's obsession with Josh Pearson? I'll never shite on an LSU athlete but I'll be god-damned if I'm swinging a .237 guy.

Jones and Milazzo went cold over the last month or so, while Pearson hit much better. Pearson’s OBP in conference play was .434 and even better than that over the last few weeks. Milazzo’s OBP in conference was .327 and below .300 the last month. Jones has something like 6 or 7 hits in his last 50 ABs. Those are really the options for the last spot in the starting lineup. Kling hit .161 in conference and worse lately. Who do you think they should be playing instead?

Morgan at 1B. End of discussion.

Skenes isn't going to bat and Jones has become almost an automatic out.

You forgot the part where Hagen Smith is one of the top LHP in the country and Holland can be just as good but isn't as consistent. Carmouche isn't on par with those guys. However, you make a valid point with Jones and I also don't think you would hesitate to go to him. Curious to see if Jones gets the nod or not. OOC he did hit those guys well but he also had his confidence up at the time. Seems his struggles has drug him down a bit. One swing of the bat may be able to turn that around though.

I know this won't be the lineup, but this is what I'd like to see.
1. Morgan LF
2. Crews CF
3. White 3B
4. Travinski C
5. Jobert RF
6. Jones 1B
7. Beloso DH
8. Thompson SS
9. Dugas 2B
Jones dominated OOC opponents. If you don't want him at first, that's fine. Take Beloso out of the lineup, replace him with Kling/Pearson, slide one of them to LF, Morgan to 1B, and Jones to DH.
I also love how we essentially added a red hot, clutch, 25 HR catcher to the middle of the order 3 months into the season

Unless Jones can lay off the off speed stuff outside the zone, he's a liability.

I like Crews in the leadoff spot. He's our best hitter, get him the most ABs we can in a weekend. That being said, i'd prefer to move guys with higher OBP% in the 8 & 9 slots.
