You don’t ever get to talk about expectations again.

The $$ commitment to men’s hoops would also likely need a significant boost for any consistent, top-tier improvement.

Make the tournament most years at least make it to the second round once in awhile

He’s already done that, 2nd year 16-3 & won the SEC

Just think if he had a player of Reed’s caliber. He’d have won at least 2 Nattys

Good coaches do have the possibility to make the tournament in year one and of they don’t, they at least leave you with the feeling that it’s comming next year. As a fan of the sport and LSU , you recognize right away if ya got the right guy for the job regardless of year one in my opinion. The writing is usually on the wall. A feeling most of us never truley felt with Mcman.

I think it would be reasonable to expect to make the tournament somewhere around a 9-10 seed year one

Nah if he had reed we would have only won 1 NC cause he would have left as the number 1 pick in the draft after his first one lmao!

Well if we go by their logic losing Charles Manning, Taylor, O’Neal, Sims, Edwards and Johnson cost us at least one more

Madking, I’ll say this, if he had the roster with cook and wright a couple years back he’d make the tourney easy and be a nightmare for someone to have to play lol

IF Will Wade Returns, What Are Our REASONABLE Expectations?
Year one: NCAA Tourney appearance. First round loss is acceptable.

We’re LSU fans! There is no such thing as reasonable expectations!

Reasonable expectations would be making the NCAA Tournament and finishing in, at least, the top 1/2 of the league in year 1. I'm a Wade supporter and would love to see him return. However, the "he needs time to rebuild" excuse should not have ever applied to McMahon and it shouldn't apply to Wade (or any new coach) either. Fair or not, that is the nature of the sport today. Anything less than a NCAA Tournament appearance in year 1 would be a disappointment....even if it would still be better than any season under McMahon.
