If we didn’t fumble twice, we score 55.

If you didn’t post as much, you would look smarter.

Hot take. If they had better players and make more plays then they would be doing better? Got it.

He's getting downvoted like crazy but I was actually at the game and could see exactly how bad it was. Their receivers were wide arse open all night. The QB missed two sure TDs and a few more for big gains.

Say what you want but the meat of the thread has merit if he simply said "UAB's receivers were wide arse open last night".

Maybe the WRs were open because the QB was garbage and LSU figured out they didn't have to honor the pass.

They had WRs running down field with no LSU defenders within 10 yards. It was really unusual.

This LSU secondary is its weakest in a long time. The only team LSU played so far that could expose it, did expose it. It's Year 1 of a new coach with lots of Freshmen and transfers so I expected little else but any team with a good passing game will torch LSU CBs and Safeties. Hopefully, recruiting and the Portal allow it to get better next year.

LSU played Bryce Young, Hendon Hooker, Will Rogers, and surprisingly you can add Travis Rudolph to that (kid is on pace for 3000 yards 25 TDs 4 ints). LSU is 11th in the country in TD passes allowed. If you look at actually how many we allowed and not the amount of teams tied ahead, we are tied four 4th in the country in the amount of passing TDs we have given up. Only 3 QBs have scored more than one TD pass against us and 2 of them were easily explainable. We played FSU game one with a patchwork team and coaching staff with no experience together with each other. The other was the Auburn game where we expected to heavy commit to stop the run. After we realized he would throw, we adjusted.

There is no merit to saying if team x had better players it would’ve been more competitive. That’s a no shite comment. Maybe LSU knew he sucked and played off for the run.

Can we stop with this shite? Because they don’t. IF every team we play has a better QB the game would be closer. For fricks sake

If UAB had a better quarterback he wouldn't be playing at UAB.

You're not wrong. It's our weak spot now that special teams don't completely suck arse.

Fortunately, we have a pretty damn good DL and pass rush, and our run defense usually shows up.

Considering where we were in the off-season, it's damn impressive that this is our weakest link, and even then we've found some decent gritty guys there who are all bought in.

If LSU had the 2019 offense with the 2011 defense, no game would be close.
