New partnership discussion may be centered around “Team Nike” too. Curious to see what comes of that early August meeting.

I am curious too but I don’t see some “first of its kind” thing with Nike happening at LSU before Oregon

This is a different thing than just LSU wearing Nike I believe.

Nike signed a bunch of LSU athletes last year

Its been 7 years since Jonathan Giles cursed #7. I think we're in the clear now.

Since, then everyone who has worn that number has either been injured, opted out or underperformed....it needs a Exorcism, Annabelle has gotten ahold of that number.

18 is a cool locker room thing for a leader on the team and 7 should just be a rare talent, not an every year thing.

People who care about this are weird. The players love it.

You aren't wrong. I think we had a string of Jamar Chase, Derek Stingley, and Kayshon Boutte wearing #7.

All great players obviously, but the years they were given #7, things went south that year for them. (as an LSU fan)

Thought you were mistaken about Chase but just checked the 2020 roster and he was listed as #7 before opting out. I did not remember that.

2021 - Stingley (injured/underperformed)
2022 - Boutte (injured/underperformed)
2023 - No #7 listed on roster
2024/2025 - Perkins (underperformed)

I agree with whoever said 7 needs to stop being an every year thing. Only a bonafide stud like PP7, Honey Badger, or Fournette should be wearing it.

If the people complaining about why they give out #7 & #18 to players would just shut up and let the players/team enjoy it, there wouldn't be a need to talk about it.

We used to see videos of football players doing crazy shite like headbutting lockers and beating tf out of each other. Now we get videos of them doing their hair. Need to remove unnecessary roughness and make this a man's game again
