If Orgeron is capable of fixing the downfall after 2019, why didn’t he prevent them?

To fix the issues now means he has to identify them. If he’s capable of identifying what went wrong last year, why couldn’t he prevent these issues?

I feel like if he couldn’t identify the problems prior to 2020, how can he know how to fix them for 2021?

Identified the illness.

Thought he had the right medicine.

The medicine was beyond its effective date.

I can forgive a coach for having tunnel vision on his way to a perfect season. As it is, we finished 500 in an all SEC schedule in an off year where we lost our starting QB early and had to replace a DC and Heisman winning QB from the year before.

Not saying he can turn it around but being able to fix problems is a totally different thing and skillset than being able to see a problem coming.

Have to get it in before the season starts and they have to shut up again.

You're mad that he can't predict the future?

Look I have really high expectations for our HCs in every sport but being a seer isn't one of them.

Ever got lazy in a relationship and got broken up with? With your logic, if that happens to you, you'll never have a good relationship going forward.

Well hopefully this year there won’t be a pandemic or a black lives matter movement. That might help.

Well it was too late to stop them after they were noticed last year.

We had some very odd things happen.

Also it’s very hard to keep a team at the top it took Saban 3 tries to get the machine he has now.

LSU 03 he was ahead of schedule and we even had a step back in 04

Bama 09 he had a bad step back in 2010

Bama 11 is when he started his current domination.

He was too busy writing a book, divorcing his wife, and chasing tail to go out and hire quality replacements on his staff. Dude was living the life he couldn’t be bothered by doing his job.

A few local shows made comments saying Pelini played golf more than being at the football office. Any info on this?

Nobody would have been capable of stopping the issues LSU dealt with last year. Most of the issues were far beyond a coaches control.that doesn’t mean he didn’t make mistakes (Bo). There are things to clean up and he seems to have addressed those. This year will show a lot one way or the other.

Judging by his defense that would not shock me at all. O hired him because it was an easy hire. O didn’t have to work to hire him... he didn’t have to interview a list a candidates... hell word is he didn’t even interview Bo.

He got football lazy last off season and paid the price. Hopefully, he is back to himself and having a younger hungry staff under him can get him back to where was two years ago...

Perfection is hard to reach and he got there... consistency is even harder to reach and I hope last year was a one off and we find a place where we are always in the conversation for the SEC West which will lead to a conversation for playoffs.

Because it's harder to stay at the top then it is to get to the top. Counterintuitive, but true.

The same way he couldn't prevent Troy. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. Nobody knew Pelini would be soooo bad.
