How about Les. We could save some buyout cash, have a good excuse to lose to Alabama again, keep the grass down on the sidelines, and save the salary of an offensive coordinator (run 3 plays up the middle and pass on third and six). Still, as bad as he was, I doubt we'd give up over 200 rushing yards to Troy. Art Bryles?

The cheapest thing to do is promote Canada to HC, let him call the plays, and give him a 3 year contract. Keep Aranda, and get a GD special team coach, new line coach, and wide receiver coach.

No thx. Too much baggage and he's a pos. There's a reason we went with Les and not him in 05

IMHO it will be Aranda

so we're going to replace a guy that had zero success in two stints as a HC, with a guy that has ZERO head coaching experience at any level.

Will never happen. Besides, does Aranda strike you as a head coach type of guy? Some guys are better suited to be coordinators, and I think Aranda is that type.

Either way, our next coach, rightfully so, will be a guy with proven success as a head coach.

Let's get an established guy who's team is having a crappy season.

Jimbo.

Jimbo ship has sailed. we soured the relationship by fricking him over in 2015 when we should have hired him.

Meanwhile Chip Kelly is sitting on TV analyzing games for ESPN, just waiting for the right job.

Les Miles is a miracle comeback away from doing exactly what O just did. They did it through the air in that game, though.

Reminder that a sizable minority of posters here said they would prefer O over Kelly because they didn't think Kelly proved that he could win in the SEC. Think about that.

Just stop. LSU was the premier football program when he was hired. No one else had two BCS titles under their belt. He was living off the success of Saban and Miles.

In that order. We'll probably frick it up and hire Lane Kiffin or someone disgraced like Art Briles though. I have zero confidence in this administration.

As long as we don't get in a bidding war, that's fine by Joe.

Kiffen has had two major jobs and produced zilch. In fact, I'd say O is a poor man's Kiffen.

He is a lot like Weiss in that his best "win" was a loss. Compare Bush Push with Mount Cody FG Block.

PJ Fleck although I laugh at the thought of him getting our fanbase into all that "row the boat" nonsense . That'll work in the MAC or at a lesser school like Minnesota but to think of LSU doing that makes me chuckle.
