So you're saying LSU is so bad that they have less talent than Troy? People would grumble but could accept a 7-5 season this year. There is a very real chance this team goes 3-9 this year. LSU isn't favored in anymore games this year. This needs to be given to you bluntly. You need to take your head out of your arse and see that coach O literally is a cancer on this team right now. He is completely lost and this team is not playing hard for him. The guy doesn't even know what players are in the game most of the time.

First off I do not think there is any way Orgeron gets fired at the end of this year if Alleva is still the AD.

But hypothetically if Alleva does fire him, LSU would be in a very tough position to hire another Power 5 coach and pay the remaining two buyouts.

If LSU tanks like everyone thinks they will right now there is no chance Alleva will have a job after this season. The big donors will say get rid of Alleva or you're not getting our money. LSU would lose an extremely large amount of money if nothing is done after this joke of a season.

I agree if the season progresses on its current course, at the end of the year there is no way Alleva has a job.

Then we have an AD search and the first question any potential AD is going to ask is does he have the ability to get rid of Orgeron. I also have serious reservation about who would be picking said AD. If its F. King Alexander we would be in for a 7-10 year stretch of misery in football that is how incompetent that man is, by the way he hates our athletics department.

If it is the powers at be in TAF doing the hiring I do not even know where the search begins, it is pointless to think about potential head coaches until an AD is named.

I think the president and board make the official decision on the AD but the donors have a huge input on who should be hired. Even if F King hates the athletic department he loves money. If LSU athletics especially football is doing poorly it damages the university big time.

For all of Alleva's faults and they are many, he has always had LSU as one of the most profitable athletic departments in the nation which is very impressive given how many major institutions lose money even after football revenue. He is a sharp guy, just has no spine and never actually knew what he was doing as it relates to football he came from Duke.

We have one of the worst presidents of any major university how he got the job in the first place I do not know. Alleva has him wrapped around his finger, it will take donors, our board, and maybe even political figures to make the necessary changes at the top to truly help our hurting university.

Getting F king out of there will be incredibly difficult because you're not going to get rid of a school president if the school is weak in football.

You are a retard! Coach O has two of the best coordinators in the country working for him, and they have the proven track records to prove it. However, if I were stupid enough to listen to a retard like you, I'd have to believe that both of them suddenly forgot how to coach and were now both trying to destroy their own elite coaching records. Sorry, I'm not nearly mentally handicapped enough to believe our problems stem from coaching.

Instead, our problems stem from recruiting and you can't blame piss poor recruiting on a head coach that has been the head coach for under a year, unless you are a retard, and you are a retard.

Interesting we would just roll with a guy with zero head coaching experience.

Can't be any worse than rolling with a guy that had a 10 win 25 loss record in his previous stint as a head coach.

So with our mighty coordinators who are 2 of the best in the country LSU still couldn't figure out a way to beat Troy. You're saying LSU's talent is less than Troys? You still haven't come up with a logical excuse as to why LSU got their asses handed to them by Troy. If Arranda and Canada are this great then that means there's a problem with the head coach. I could care less about any of our coaches accolades. All I see is a failure of a season and getting dominated by a sunbelt team.

If Leach isn't at the top of these lists, it isn't a real list

Any of these guys would be deaerving of at least an interview.
Any of these guys should have been interviewed this past time when we needed a Head Coach.

Orgeron wasn't going anywhere. All of them should've been interviewed.

I really like P.J Fleck's up side, but for LSU at this point in time, we need a Bob Stoops. Throw some big bucks at him and make him come out of retirement. Maybe the challenge of being in the SEC would intice him back into active duty.

The new Athletic Director can't play around and hire anybody with questions marks concerning their qualifications; has to be an absolute out of the park homerun hire..................

Yes because aranda is tearing it up now with our defense.

They aren't terrible but they are getting worn down due to depth. It might be time to throw more bodies out there and get some PT.

I'll play

The only way this my be plausible, is IF Miles gets a coaching gig! Highly unlikely, but O is making him look much better. If he can get a gig and unload some of that massive buyout, game on. Jan. 1, 2019 he's gone!

Stoops
Mullen
Fleck
Peterson
Patterson

If Les is hired, I think the list includes proven coaches. Otherwise, I think we have to look at Morris, Brohm, Fleck, etc. Which all are pretty good options. I don't see Patterson, Peterson, Fuente, or Gundy leaving unless we have a massive pile of cash and a new, proven AD.
